Interesting, Beefy. But I'd need evidence/persuasion before I could follow that line of thinking at this time.

I think we should lynch someone. It explicitly states that I can avoid mafia hits in my role PM. Ergo there are mafia around and they will hit on you.
*Looking suspiciously at our transvestite* :stare:
Transvestite?
Who would you have my vote for? And why should I? I already told you, I don't need to have the lawman shootin' me to death. And if I don't start voting for the yeggmen, I'm no threat to you either. My best move is to remain neutral, now that I've declared my neutrality.
Whichever side wastes their time on me allows the other to gain a one-turn advantage, and my death is unnecessary in both your victory conditions, so far as I am aware. As such, unless you can convince me that I would be somehow safe in choosing one side over the other, I cannot.
I lose, point blank, if I am dead. I know that saying so will lead to my lynch or an investigation, but it's all I can do... it's a 50/50 shot that I get investigated, proven truthful, and survive till the end. I don't have many options in my situation. I am likely dead or arrested in any other scenario anyway.
Just leave the poor tranny alone, wouldja hon? I already think you're a yeggman from the writeups and your claimed role. I weren't be voting you anytime soon, but I sees no one else who be deservin' it.
I've nothing to hide, but I've no one that I need to kill to get though this rough patch, darlin.
As a matter of fact, at this point I see no reason to even pursue my original wild hypothesis. I suppose it makes no sense to vote for anyone if I am neutral.

Not sure who is more suspicious out of Andres the Cunning Fart or Ares the Town Necrophiliac and wish I had a skill like Sigurd Spokane's or the fanciful imagination of the beautiful PizzaGal (Lovin' your theory there darlin'). FoS @ Beefy partly for the whole Rebel George claim thing - and also because he wants to vote:yoyoma to get everyone off his own back - whether he be god or the devil - ain't no point votin' for him.

End Day Two
The day began slowly, with the final members of the jamboree showing up in the late hours of the night. Jack Black asked around about one of his fellow conventioneers. Finally Rebel George stood up, I am here. He was an elderly bandit, perfecter of the Gold Brick scam. Many had studied his thoughts on swindles, one of his famous lessons was thus: "The way to sell a brass brick is to bunko yourself first into the belief that your brick is solid gold- the rest is easy. The most successful bunko man is the one who bunkoes himself before he goes after a sucker." Some though he had retired and was living quietly after years of the road, but here stood the living legend himself.
Jack revealed his thoughts, "What are you doing here old timer? Maybe I heard somewhere that you ain't playing straight... or are playing straight... I'm not sure how to put it."
"What are you saying, little man. Don't you know who I am? Didn't I help you make it through your first stint in prison?"
"True enough, but still... maybe there are words in the air that have found my ears."
"Perhaps it's all that :daisy: hop, young fellow."
By now most people in the convention were eying up one, the other, or both of them.
Pocket cannons came out.
They both flashed, bright and loud in the room, and a hold was ripped in each others jacket.
They both looked down at themselves, shocked and mildly horrified.
Is this what it felt like to die?
.
Rebel George began laughing as though it were all a joke, and opened his jacket. Several pieces of paper fell out, with holes through them. Money. Blood soaked money.
Jack Black looked up at George, and still a bit startled, reached into his jacket. He pulled a book from his pocket, How to Win at Black Jack, a bullet had pierced the full thickness of the pages, and was just poking out the back.
Rebel George dropped dead.

I said in my investigation post that i wasn't a pro-townie, meaning i'm not necessarily a good character, or bad, i don't recall that i have an alignment, but you can be dammed sure your speaking to the writer of this book, so pay your respects while i'm still alive :whip:
Aries investigating dead people is not without precedent. I investigated Masy after his lyncg way back ago in Mafia IV although that was like my 2nd or 3rd Mafia and Kommodus had just made an incredible (and correct) claim that Masy was Mafia. Given those unique circumstances though, it still is odd but as he says, it's his role...
Im sad that I died but Im happy that I got nothing to worry about now.
Just gotta concentrate on two more mafias.
Night 2 write up coming shortly
I suspect I'll be murdered tonight gentlemen and her....
While I'm still alive I will do this
FoS: Yoyoma
After the death of Rebel George, things continued on as before. The police, if they were around, hadn't seemed to "step in" on the party yet. Perhaps they hadn't noticed the goings on, being too busy planning out their nice pensions.
Soldier Johnnie had gotten drunk on the back of a wagon, a large riffle laying by his side. He passed out, and when he awoke, he was well into town. He staggered off the wagon, and looking down, found an old shinny golden piece of Spanish bullion. "Truly," he thought, "I am just one lucky SOB!" He used the piece to get himself a room at one of the local hotels, where he cleaned up and enjoyed a bit more of Dr. Hall's company.
Irish Annie spent another night in a bar on the edge of town, living out her life as she chose to live it.
Tex, a long and tall man, who had come up from a south easterly direction, was somewhere between the camp and the town, his eyes were skimming the line when a bush began to speak.
"Hey, psst. Man with the stash. Over here."
Tex looked over, and pulled out his pistol, but it was too late. The lead entered his left side, piercing his lung and heart. His last breaths were gasps. His last thoughts were that he would no longer have to worry about all those gambling debts. His bones were not found for another 80 years, when some construction workers, laying a foundation for a house, uncovered them.
In the morning, screams could be heard from the room in the old hotel where Rebel George had slept. Several of the gang ran upstairs to find Jack Black, dead as dead could be. His neck showed signs of strangulation, and his tongue hung comically useless from his mouth. In one hand he held Rebel George's journal, and on the middle finger of his other hand sat a shinny new brass ring. Across his forehead someone, or something, had branded the phrase "777 8 Beef." Whatever that meant.
Apparently, Jack Black had been Beefed.
Irish Annie, when she finally saw the scene, began screaming about her zombie apocalypse predictions. Had the dead come back to haunt Black, or had he been the one haunting the dead?

You have 48 hours.
And remember, you can always send in your night actions early.
you said players can vote against who they want, even donkeys and flying fugal fish
That is true, however, if I were to lynch myself there would be no host to run the game.
Then I suppose no one really would win.
Aries died, looks like the mafia became shaky with his 'claimed powers'
Vote: ATPG
I don't follow your logic, hon.
I know it's not concrete proof, but I was absent in every single mafia game that I've been in recently, and in all of them, I would have been physically unable to do night actions. Furthermore, I already agreed to be investigated, and I absolutely refuse to take sides in this game. Whomever kills me loses one turn for their team.
Vote: Abstain SOLID
Fare thee well, love. I will just be sitting here on Andres lap, stroking his rough face and commenting on how much nicer he would look with a fuller beard, one that isn't made entirely out of beans.
Ok.. I have been hearin' this in evey town (game) we have been to. And I aint belivin' it for one second. Why signing up for a road trip when ya know ya can't pariticpate as scum boy? It doesn't make any sense. My bet is that there is a way you can participatin' in a role with night activities but you argue ad nauseam *cough* ... that you can't. I don't belive it.
Vote: Askthepizzaguy
LOL
I already said it isn't proof. I was just pointing out that it would be difficult. And by the way, in Andres game it would be illegal for me to send in a nightkill ahead of time. I also have to protest; when I am a mafia I never get myself killed this quickly, nor am so cavalier about my life. However, I also refuse to defend myself further, as whenever I post lately I am accused of "preventing the town from having a discussion".
I would analyze your reasons for voting for me further, but if you're town or mafia it doesn't matter to me. I had very little chance of surviving the game anyway, and it puzzles me what the point of merely surviving a game as a neutral would mean. I would have to share the victory with someone, after contributing nothing to their victory or being their ally.
I revealed everything already, and I have no motivation for defending myself or accusing anyone. I would point out that killing me allows the lawman an extra turn to bring you down, but I frankly don't give a darn.
I had an amusing theory just now, that there was no mafia, and the neutral player wins without killing anyone, but is unlikely to do so, hence the "You Can't Win" moniker.
But it doesn't hold up, as there have been night kills. And I don't want to squelch the discussion by adding to it.
give ATPG a break, question yoyoma :smash:

Say what?
This game is winnable.
I am simply the moderator, and not a participant. You tell me what you want to do, and I figure out what happens, then relay those figurings back to you all. Sometimes, you're going to eat the bear, and sometimes the bear is going to eat you.
I've tried to make this somewhat challenging, with the addition of including personalities for you all to play out. Personalities of troubled people in a rough lifestyle.
The title is derived from the book itself. It has far more to do with the philosophy of this world you are playing in, then with the game conditions.
You have a couple more hours to figure it out. It looks like we have a five way tie, including abstain.
Time's up.

He was called Montana Blacky because of his long black hair and beard. Out of his mouth spilled random phrases and drunken ramblings, but he was known as the best mulligan stew maker in all the west. On his way to the convention he had gotten lost somewhere in both the woods and his own thoughts. Now he was starting to talk, but people weren't sure they trusted his random words.
"What'd you say, feller?"
"What has he don't you done?'
"That's some gibberish your spouting' there, and I don't like it."
"When cows speak the truth, the grass won't listen," Blacky said as he sipped on his bottle of Dr. Hall, "It's too busy getting chewed into a nice cud."
People usually didn't pay that much mind to what he said, as his food was the best they could find. However, the events of late had everyone a bit on edge, and his ruminations seemed to rattle some of those around him.
"The stool pigeon is the coming race. The roads are made of stinky cheese," he grabbed Soldier Johnnie, who was eyeing Irish Annie with suspicion, and started shouting, with eyes of blazing madness, "A loose woman who is neither moral nor whore is a loose woman. A loose woman is a loose woman. A loose woman. Stinky cheese! :daisy:, stinky women and loose cheese!"
Several shots rang out, and Montana Blacky dropped dead.

Spokane was traveling back to his wife at the hotel in town, as he had been doing each evening since the convention started. But this time, while going back into town, he came across a broken down wagon. In the driver's bench a person was laying, seemingly drunk or unconscious. It seemed to be one of the people from the convention. He looked around, and seeing no one, began digging through the person's pocket.
Suddenly a hand grabbed his wrist, the once closed eyes lit up, and a voice boomed out, "Gotcha, ya' no good louse!" As Spokane struggled to break away from his now captor, a shot rang out, and the young yegg dropped dead.
Meanwhile, on the edge of town, a fire broke out in the back room of Salt Chuck Mary's, where Irish Annie had spent the last few nights getting drunk. Many of the patrons of the establishment fled the scene, but there was no sign of Mary herself. When some of her gentlemen customers ran back in to try and save anyone left, they found her body and dragged her out in front of the crowd. Mary had been strangled to death. On the middle finger of one hand sat a shiny brass ring, and across her forehead was tattooed, "777 8 Beef." She too had apparently been Beefed. Many from the convention could be found in the crowd.
Gold Tooth was wandering back to the jungle regions around town, smiling at himself for his earning as well as doings of the day. His mouth opened into a broad smile, showing his shiny gold teeth, as he began to laugh to himself a bit. How many of the miners wives and local prostitutes had fallen for his smile and swindle. In his pockets, coin jingled with his wares, laughing along with him, "Boy, I sure am a good bum! A'int no one gonna stop me now!"
He walked into moonlight spotlight in the woods, and a little voice called out, "Psst, hey you with the teeth. You're a liar. You were a good bum, now you're a dead bum." Gold Tooth heard the shots as he felt the lead tear into his body. He fell forward, the contents of his pockets falling out, and glinting shiny and falsely desirable in the moonlight. Blood ran down his fingers, and dripped upon them. His last thoughts, while burnt into his own mind eternally, were never known to anyone else, save maybe one man. Much like the location of his body.

Its gotta be either him or Andres, I can't see the other two being mafia. Tiberus is too inactive, and ATPG has been offline for the last couple of days, he can still sent in the order via e-mail, but knowing him he wouldn't blank out on the guild just to do this.
I want to hear some defence, you and Andres are all equally suspcious.
YLC was gunnin' fer me the whole time...
Hmm...
Vote: Andres
I'm "Foot and a Half" George, and I had two functions in this game - protect CountArach, and to be able to Vig kill once per night. Lynch me if you want, however I'm not your man. In fact, do so -I was planning on killing Andres tonight - if it's you QJC, then you basically win, and my hat is off to you. However, if I die, then you can't win - there will still be too many players.
That's if your Mafia.
Wait a minute. CountArach died last night.
Are you able to 1) kill and 2) protect each night, or can you do only one thing?
If so, who did you kill last night and why?
I've seen many mafiosi claim vigilante before. It's one of the most convenient role claims for scum.
Vote : YLC
Indeed it is, I was half tempted at one point or another to claim it in Golden Rule.
No, indeed, I did not protect CountArach except on the first night. I then killed boudica and Reenk Roink, and intended to kill you this night. So your assertion is correct, I may only protect or kill, not both.
Both of my kills were motivated by my own suspicions, gut feelings, nothing more. Last night, It was either you or Reenk Roink, and a coin flip decided it.
So, you're a vigilante on a killing spree based on "gut feelings" :inquisitive:
And you're able to protect, but only CA and nobody else?
:inquisitive:
Yes, as a bodyguard - I would protect CA with my life. If I did not kill, that was what I was doing. So, since CA seemed to have gone inactive, I elected to remain active and begin killing.
Please, Andres, explain what I should have gone on? I see no clues to go on.
Hello everyone.
I will look over the thread, but for now:
Vote: Abstain
Because: Same reason as before. I don't think it's in my best interest to get involved.
Hey, fellows?
Why is no one even discussing Tiberius of the Drake?
EDIT: Nevermind, Tiberius is WOG bait.
Yes, guys: I want to say it right here, right now:
I consider not being here at all to be a coward's tactic. I would not do that just for the sake of winning a game.
Whenever I am mafia, I talk and talk. If I win using such a tactic, dear god... I get bragging rights, don't I? I will not blank out on my favorite website just to win the game the WOG-bait way.
Sorry I haven't been more active, but whenever I am here, I am active, and it is in my best interests not to pick a side in this game, as I mentioned a few dozen times.
I mentioned I might be dropping out of mafia games in the future, due to the fact that me not being here and there still being murders eliminates me as a potential suspect in some games. This is not true in games where I can send in orders ahead of time, and if my partner(s) can kill in my place.
I admit, if I survive this game at all, I will be impressed by your faith in me after my past deviousness, and thank everyone for letting me live. Of course, having said that, I'm as good as dead, so... it's been nice knowing all of you!
:laugh4:
I already said you could investigate me, and if necessary, lynch me. But I am saying it will be a waste of your time.
At some point, the lawman may end up deciding to kill me so that he can keep the other primary suspects alive. That's a shame, too. But, even as a neutral, I am willing to die for town.
There are clues, I sprinkle them in like tiny precious gems.
But I suppose you'd have to be a fan of Tom Waits to figure them out.
By the way, in keeping with my pro-town leanings no matter what role I have;
I am neutral, so keep that in mind. The amount of townies left does not include me, and the lawman wins if there is one townie and one neutral left.
Obviously it is not in his best interests to kill me. It may be in town's best interest at one point, so that town can play the odds, 1/3 instead of 1/4.

With me dead, that would make it 1/4 chance of catching the lawman. If/when he kills, that makes it 1/3 that you can catch him, and you will only have townies left. Just so you know.
If the lawman kills me, that affects the odds as well, but it does not work out in his best interests no matter what the odds are.
I am neutral though. I don't care at this point who wins, just doing my job.
Vote: Abstain SOLID
If you choose to vig kill Andres is it 100% certain chance of success, or is there any possibilty he might survive the attempt?
I'm starting to buy into YLC's story, Andres isn't scummy but YLC seems convincing. Right now I can think of a few possibilities the end will end... But anyway for now I will vote: Andres
Knowing you has convinced me that you would not use such tactics for victory.
APTG's neutrality declaration is a big blow to town, Tiberus is WOG bait, without APTG and Tiberus its only gonna be just me, Andres and YLC, which means this could be the last voting round.
I already voted solid, so if I had any reason to change my mind and save my life, that window of opportunity has passed.
I have a theory as to who it is as well.
To be honest I am relatively undecided at the moment. I had a nice plan as well; We could lynch Tiberus this round, making YLC the vig killer kill you (Andres) next night, and if the game still doesn't end then we'll lynch YLC in the final round. But now with APTG suddenly revealing his rouge aligance, the plan has all but evaporated into thin air.
Sometimes you have to go with gut feelings, if we lynched you and you turned out to be townie then I'm sorry, but now is the time to be decisive.
YLC also didn't have to reveal his vig/protector status if he didn't want to, telling people that he's actually a vigillante would make him seem suspcious and he had better alternatives to go with if he was mafia, I am beginning to think what YLC is saying is the truth.
I've never said you cannot change your vote if it is SOLID, only that you should vote that way if you're sure it won't change later.
It's a flag for me, not a carving in stone for you.
EDIT:
I do see I used the term "concrete" in there. This was meant as the adjective form, not the noun. Sorry.Quote:
In addition, if when placing your vote, you know for sure it will not change, you can add the term SOLID. In the event everyone is content with their choices, this will let me know that I can end the day early. If you have already voted for someone, but would like to make it concrete: post previous vote:SOLID
I.e. a concrete vote, as in real and tangible, as opposed to an abstract idea of how you're leaning.
Vigilante is exactly what you'd want to claim as a mafioso. It makes you immune for investigation results --> "yes, I'm guilty because I killed, I'm a vigilante!"
Also, the bodyguard part doesn't add up; CA got killed last night. Protector+vigilante makes no sense at all.
No, he didn't have to reveal; but if he avoid the lynch this round, he'll be pretty much sure about winning this game.
The timing for his "reveal" is perfect to obtain victory.
Very well. I choose to change my vote.
Unvote: Abstain
Vote: YLC
His reasoning given is that he's a vigilante. That's fine... but he's a confirmed killer.
QJC: Please look back at my posts. i revealed a long time ago I was neutral. From this error, I have to assume you aren't paying attention... which tells me you aren't that concerned about your life. It has to be YLC at this point. Obviously if the mafioso dies, I survive the game. So I have reasons for not being so neutral now.
I understand your concerns, QJC. I hate to use my record as evidence, but everyone else seems to, and so too shall I:
In every game, as mafia, as host, as townie, as neutral, I've done everything I can to help town win. It's frightening. Why do I do this?
So you'll put up with me. So you'll listen to me. So you might actually consider what I have to say. And my record is consistent. I am trying to help us win, right now. I've chosen my side, and I always side with town.
I do trust that you have the town in your better interest, besides YLC hasn't been cleared yet, and its perfectly logically to suspect him.
I personally would like an extention, right now I think there is 1 vote to YLC and 2 vote to Andres. So I'll Unvote: Andres right now, and hopfully we'll get more source on the extension to make up our minds.
I havent even checked, but I think both me and Andres voted YLC. Whoever has time can recheck the numbers.
Edit: I'm willing to do an extension. It's a good idea. If more evidence comes forward I may change my vote.
Andres did vote for YLC. Once again I've been sloppy, did have a lot of coursework to do recently...
I suggest you unvote YLC for now and wait for an extention, we can have more time to work out something then.
Unusual behavior from ATPG, too calm, no funny role playing or big involvement, hmmm
Get an extention and we could get some valuable time into this case.
It does not make you immune to investigation at all. Depending on the mechanics the host himself/herself set up, there could be several variations on how "guilt" is handled, or how detailed the investigations are.
Also, the bodyguard adds up perfectly (for the most part) - your simply ignoring the fact that I said that I could do one or the other. I choose to kill, instead of protecting an inactive townie - you would fault me for being proactive in this game?
And I also said I am the best bet for a lynch, unless we lynch Tiberius and something more comes up. However, I am sure you are mafia, since your willing to commit to this action already - if I were mafia, now would be the last time to try and throw suspicion on myself in the endgame. It is bad play, and goes against Game Theory.
If Yoyoma allows, I will show you all PM's from me to him.
Also, Yoyoma, please allow the extension as QJC requested.
Your timing for the "reveal" is just too perfect YLC.

We can't afford to take any risks at the moment. Tiberius hasn't posted since the 10th of January so he will almost definitely be WoG'ed.
Also, we need at least 3 votes on Tiberius if we want your plan to work. As long as we don't have more than 2 votes on Tib, you can easily screw us over.
I've seen mafia messing with last minute vote switches more then once in Capo II and I'm not willing to take risks. My vote stays where it has been put. If I'm wrong, I'll wholeheartedly apologise after the game is over
You do realize Tiberius will not be wogged? And that at this point it does not matter for whom you vote for? You will be owing me that apology at the end of the game Andres. As you laughing my face for being mafia. Or ATPG does because we all buyed into his "neutral" alignment.
I myself would bury myself in a cave and not come out for for 2 days if APTG was the mafia, he would of played us badly if it was him.
Actually, would it be possible to have no lynch today? We all abstain?
