After reading the thread (Yes, in 8 minutes... apparently) I'm not entirely sure what this argument against ATPG is. I agree he is a very dangerous scum to keep around, but I don't see what evidence there is. Admittedly, the whole "We need more challenges" does seem kind of weird to suggest, especially without any real reasoning, but I'm not sure if that is grounds for lynching.

Why do people persist with abstaining in the first round? We have gotten lucky in the past with a random lynch, who is to say it will not happen again? A complete lack of conversation just lets the mafia win. Voting absatin leads to a lack of conversation. Ergo, voting abstain lets the mafia win.
I have read through every single post Andres has made. He made no comment about a victorious duel increasing someone's battle rating. While that did indeed happen in Midgard, and Andres has said that the duels were "inspired" by Midgard, that's a relatively weak assumption to make at this point. Haudegen's comment seemed very definite, which would indicate an alternate source for that information than this thread.Quote:

Unless the 'mafia' knows something that we don't, I'd say that dueling is too much of a risk for them. They'd have to be pretty certain of a win to risk it.
I suspect mafia to be either players who do not risk duelling. Or players who risk a lot of duelling. Who habitually 'pick fights', for one reason or another. Perhaps as some sort of means of building leet killing skillz, or as special role requirements. Lord* only knows what dangers are lurking in hidden roles.

I'm not a particuarly 'seasoned' player but here's my take as of right now.
ATPG is being voted for via a mix of gut instincts and half serious votes : which i expect to change to someone else if anything pops up.
Glenn - well is Glenn - read the CDTC II thread for abit and you realise how even when he had a pro town role - everyone rammed it into him considerably. Again, there's no solid evidence apart from a 'drunk' introduction - which means only one thing : his character is a drunkard! Maybe the secret role is the drunken martial art expert you see in a fair few films!
Tiberius is under the suspicion of "role fishing" - the idea is that mafia/anyone (associated with mafia though) try and find conclusive evidence as to assign people to roles - especially important are the 3 protectors of 'our lord', the geishas and the 3 mafia. This way, you can either fake your own role more effectively or lead out targets.
Sasaki is as always - unafraid of commotion and confrontation in the game thread. The early "prevoting" of Tiberius (based on Sasaki's own accusation of Tiberisu role fishing) attracted votes - also I believe one of hte votes is due to the unnecessary emoticons added to the accusatory post.
I think that sums up the main contenders.
I voted Factionheir - claiming my vote made no sense is not particuarly a good reason for me being scum so counter vote for reasons i summed up before.

There are a few unwritten rules from what I noticed in the forum version -

I am pleasantly surprised that my vote and associated comment on you made you post like a waterfall. Where to take this will be seen at a later stage.
For the moment, it is my opinion that ATPG is a bit out of character in this game avoiding to get killed rather than actively contributing to his demise. This suggests he has a role. Question is, whether its pro or anti town.
As a side note, Tiberius is probably innocent. I would guess 97% chance.
When in doubt, vote ATPG. It's always the right move.
