04/12 Generic Fantasy WW Game Thread

Quarter-assed sort by postcount reads

I feel like I should have a better read on Zack besides null considering he's got 60 some-odd posts. I'll be watching this one some more.

I've currently got Insaner as my top town. He's playing like he's bulletproof; questioning people left and right.

I'm sticking with my Empoof is town read until forced to reevaluate. Nothing yet tells me to rethink that.

Ladd feels like his pushes are entirely too easy, and his defenses of things feel the wrong kind of dismissive.

I didn't really get the suspicion of Monty, so I ISO'ed him. Upon reading it myself, I could see that as a wolf. I'd rather give him time, but he get's a slight scumlean today.

don't really feel like digging into the thread rn but I'll be around to real time some while doing other stuff. I do intend to be in the thread and try hard for the last 2 hours of the day to try and lunch a wolf.

haven't really put much depth of thought into these reads but they should be mostly fine

Pzelda's opening was rather bizarre and really really awkward if wolf, so villager points there. In particular the interaction with Zack.

I'm unsettled by wagon comp on Monty, think I'd rather hold off there for now, since I'm personally not confident on reading him generically speaking.

Was going to vote Logic, but now I sorta think him calling GH and Zack null, if lazy particularly in the first case, is mildly villagery.

Alright, I'm onboard with Merlin being town. Tone seems pure, and he's doing some pushing I can't see coming from an informed perspective.

I find it hard to believe that Cuth is actually this sensitive. You aren't clear to me, why would you get offended over me trying to put you in a spot? I think Cuth is faking being annoyed here so he doesn't have to answer my question and also make me look worse when all I wanted was to know why he doesn't agree with Logic being town.

not going to read back but there were a lot of posts that were just

seemingly out of touch with the thread/off balance compared to what other people have been posting/what have you

wrt the zack thing

he was ambivalent about zack, zack responded the way zack responds, he stuck with it and didn't seem to really react? much to the pressure

it was weird, but i didn't get the sense it was... overly self-conscious?

With regards to the rest, I would classify it as "rather impatient with certain unproductive styles of interaction" rather than "sensitive", but you're free to have your own impression.

Decent, despite being at work. Internal network issues prevent me from doing research for my job, but I cna read and post just fine.
Being dead in all my recent games but this one mean this has my attention. The fact that I don't have a read but should, on both Zack and GH is concerning.

The only thing I can summon regarding a read on GH is that normally by now he would have called me scummy, or at the very least "wait and see" but last I saw he had me in a town-lean category.

As for Zack, his posts exist, but I can't for the life of me remember anything about them that make me want to categorize him one way or another.

He seems almost cartoonishly serious and I don't recall much solving, things he's focused on have been strange and nitpicky

El Barto is so high on the list because I think his big post was just that townie and I am very disappointed that this was our #1 consensus scum for the entire day.


I read Monty again and I don't feel as justified defending him as I feel about Barto, but there are small tidbits that make me lean town on him.


I lost faith in my Cuth wolf read after his big re-entry post. I think it had some very good analysis and it would be quite impressive if he faked that as wolf. But he only touched upon 1/3 of the playerlist which is making me hesitant to put him higher on the list. Granted, he did talk about all of the most vocal players, but still.


Egix feels like he just sorta exists. His posts seem good on tone and the points he is making have merit, but it doesn't feel like he has a lot of presence and I don't really have a good idea of what the game is like to him yet. It's a slight town lean and I wouldn't wanna kill them today, but don't feel comfortable placing them higher either.


Capage just feels... very different from the last game I played with him where we were both villagers. Like he isn't providing reads in order to expose the self evident truth of everyone's alignment here but rather just to look like he's contributing. There is little specificity behind his reads and the ones that do have an explanation aren't that hot either.


Like this read here is just frankly bull. You said you liked his posts, why would everyone else thinking the same make Zack suspicious? It makes no sense. It's like you are on that level where you aware that slapping a lazy town read on Zack might make you look suspicious so you want to add some sort of tinfoil to your read.

As for ladd, I just don't get the feeling that we are on the same team here. Like he is working against people I think are likely villa and is giving my wolf reads an easy pass. His reasons for his reads don't impress me either.

This is pretty par for the course for how he'd begin a game as villa in my experience

Monty… I think he tried to defend me? Odd. But then he voted for me (post #193) without even saying why, just jumping on the bandwaggon. I cannot take earlier D1 votes as terribly serious but Monty's I can because he does a lot of analysis and then plonks down the vote on me. Ty Monty and vote:Montmorency (Fable, get active, man). I'm still reading through the thread, I've had a busy few days, but my impressions so far:

Zack's opening was strong, but that's to be expected, Zack's a strong player. I'm hesitant to prematurely say he's town, but everything points in that direction. He spews sunshine and rainbows.

Empoof seems in a similar vein to Zack, nothing gives me pause about their play so far. Though I'm not familiar with Empoof's play in general, but from my perspective it's all been good so far.

I'm okay with merl1n, Insaner, and Logic overall. I don't particularly think Insaner's "I'm townier, answer my question." was productive, but to each their own. Other than that I haven't read anything from Insaner that would make me think negatively. merl1n just seems pure and engaged, it's refreshing, nothing negative to say about any of their contributions honestly. Logic's opening was meh, but his recent postings were pretty good I thought, and that makes me think he's town.

I agree with Zack's meta read of Barto's behavior, generally I'd expect Barto to vote Insaner there. It probably doesn't mean much, but it seemed cautious to me, which is unexpected from Barto. I might be reading too much into it though.

GH's opening bothered me initially, a bit generic maybe? or just fell flat with me I'm not sure exactly how to describe it. Plus his interaction with Zack about Insaner seemed odd to me. I generally agree with what he posted this morning, so I'm a bit torn overall about how to feel.

Monty is an enigma. I'm not sure how to feel about him currently.

I don't have much else, but I'll continue reading.

Trust me friend, I have read them (though a reread won't hurt.) I say it's concerning because I don't have a feel of how I should read Zack. I can't remember anything to point to say "this is tonally good/bad."

Yeah, GH should have a lock-Logic read before EOD1. If I flip opposite of what he called me, GH is a wolf.
