Re: Jirisys' Europa Barbarorum Mega Mod Pack for EB 1.2
Well, believe it or not, I've managed to figure out what caused that bug. It seems that watching the general's speech at the beginning of a battle (with all the jumping between angles) somehow confused the camera. If I just skip the speech completely it works exactly as it should. I actually kind of liked listening to the Roman speeches, but it's a minor loss.

Re: Jirisys' Europa Barbarorum Mega Mod Pack for EB 1.2
Hello, love this mod and also this submod, but I am having a problem with the camera. In the regular EB, whenever I double click a unit card, it would slowly pan the camera to the unit. If I moved the camera during the process, it would snap instantly to that unit, saving me time when I check different areas of the battle. Well, then I tried this submod, and now whenever I try to do that, the camera just jerks back to wherever I had it originally before I double-clicked. Is this normal? Can someone help?

You are probably running EB on the Alexander engine. Alex does not insta-pan. Rome does. This is outside the scope of any mods, or sub-mods.

Yes, I meant to reply with this information but I guess it escaped my mind. Thanks V.

Hey guys running the mod and loving it!
I'm playing AS and finding the "not in his satrap" trait very annoying to manage as the penalties are pretty grim for this and I've no way of know how to get rid of it! Any advice?

Ah, okay, thanks for the info, I found that the Total War cam does instapan, so I'll use that instead.

Re: Jirisys' Europa Barbarorum Mega Mod Pack for EB 1.2
Another question, how can I do the configuration for this mod? Do I use the one the mod originally came with?

That is specific to the game engine, not this sub-mod or EB itself. If you are using the trivial script that comes with EB, you have options there. If not, you can change the preferences.txt file. Search for it inside the EB folder; if I remember right, it's in [rome]/eb/preferences/preferences.txt.

Using the Alexander version of the mod without running it from the Alexander engine.

Re: Jirisys' Europa Barbarorum Mega Mod Pack for EB 1.2
Use the trivial script for alexander submod I have, and simply run the game with the original EB 1.2 shortcut, just make sure to copy some extra files it will request to \sp game edu backup\ and \mp game edu backup\.
I think the files in question are the descr_model_battle.txt and descr_projectiles.txt files found in the \EB\Data folder.

Edit: Whoops, apologies, I asked you the same question a year ago and you replied. Ignore this below.
Jirisys, is the RS2 Environments for battlemap and stratmap compatible with this mod pack? I realized that you have only added the stratmap variety in this modpack.

Re: Jirisys' Europa Barbarorum Mega Mod Pack for EB 1.2
Important Announcement:
Hello JEBMMPers, I require of your help with the upcoming update of the Mega Mod Pack, which will include support for BI, new mods, more fixes, and generally, much better.
But I will need people to aid me with alpha testing, since it is too much work for me to do effectively. So this is a shout out to all of those who wish to help, as well as those who want get a taste of what's new in the update. Sadly, this might include many headaches and monotonous work, but it will certainly pay off for everyone else.
However, you have to meet some requirements:
-Have RTW updated to version 1.5.
-Have enough computer knowledge to backup your EB install, have multiple installs and modifying shortcut paths and things as such.
-Be active in the forums. It's not necesary to be able to access it every single moment of your day, but it's a plus to you and me. And for that matter.
-Have enough spare time. As long as four or five hours a week for the mod pack.
-If you play RTW on Steam, you must be able to work out how to get the mod or another install running. I don't have RTW on Steam, so I can't help you on that matter (And yes, I'll add compatibility with Steam in the update, but not in the alpha stages).
Is there any way to improve my chances to getting picked? Well yes, here are some optional credentials that can help you get picked for alpha testing:
-Have one or both of the Rome - Total War expansions; ideally, all in the same version (i.e. Steam version, disc version, gold edition, etc).
-Be willing to test the mod pack for the different engines it is available, though this is relatively unimportant.
-Have an IM client for quick and efficient communication. Ideally something like Skype or Google Talk; else, Facebook, Windows Live, Steam or EvolveHQ.
-Have good download speeds. As I will have to send the newest build to you personally, or at least stored in some secret part of JEBMMP's website.
Oh, that's right, JEBMMP has a website now! A tiny, tiny website! Sponsored by the kind @vartan. You'll find there a downloads section that has all the working installers, but not the fixes or addons yet.
Click here to go check it out and tell me how tiny it is!
But let's not derail ourselves too much, if you want to become a beta tester, you can send me a PM (click here) or send me an email instead (click here) with the title "Mod Pack Alpha Tester - YOURNAMEGOESHERE", and possibly include some details that might be useful (what expansions you have, whether it's a Steam version or not, etc).
Thanks for supporting the mod pack, may your games be absent of CTDs.
Regards.

I also forgot to mention that all the names of the beta testers will be included in the post and in-game, in case you were wondering.

Re: Jirisys' Europa Barbarorum Mega Mod Pack for EB 1.2
hi Jirisys.
a -foolish- question:
my game until yesterday was the s.c. 'Eb for BI '
better say 'New installer for Europa BArbarorum with Barbarioan Invasion', by Ferromancer.
I saved it in another folder,
and then i downloaded Your Super-mega-mod-pack.
I have to assume that it does not work with 'eb for BI', does it?
if i paste ferromancer's mod, your will be overwritten (and in fact lost), correct?
is there anyway to make both the mods cooperate?
thx
belliger

Precisely. And no until you wait for version 1.1 to be released, as there will be a BI version.

I enjoyed a lot your mod pack (the ALEX.exe), and actually I want to perform little modifications (for myself) to Roleplaying as the Seleukids and in this I did add to the roster the Hoplitai Haploi, Kardaka Arteshtar, Qalaim Numidim and other units to the seleucids (I had some troubles with the Agranikoi pelekuphoroi) and included the farms+2 (I am tempted to include the highways after the conquest of Rome for the seleucids) in an assimilation of the Baktrioi, Makedon and India by the Arche. I would like also to create the battles of Alexander (Chaeronea, Granicus, Issus, Tyrus, Gaugamela and Hydaspes) as a prologue, and perhaps some of the Diadochi, but I can't enable the battle editor. Dou you have any advice to help me please? Thanks a lot again for your wonderful job.

Re: Jirisys' Europa Barbarorum Mega Mod Pack for EB 1.2
Did you use a custom shortcut or the trivial script?
If you used the custom shortcut, then add -enable_editor to the end. If using the Trivial Script, just check the option to enable editor.

Re: Jirisys' Europa Barbarorum Mega Mod Pack for EB 1.2
Is the non-Alexander version of this modpack compatible with the City Mod?
-
Re: Jirisys' Europa Barbarorum Mega Mod Pack for EB 1.2
I'm not sure. It might. I think the problem was only with Alexander.

Re: Jirisys' Europa Barbarorum Mega Mod Pack for EB 1.2
In fact you can mod another city mod without touching descr_regions by just modding EDB with a hidden source. I have no idea if it helps against CTDs of city mods or not.
