    I've got a 9800 Pro and it isn't happy with the flaming arrows either (but it is paired with an XP2400 and 266 FSB, so it is a dated system) The flamers are slow, but the big problem is some sort of memory leak associated with them. They slow down subsequent battles as well.
    Rome Total War, it's not a game, it's a do-it-yourself project.

    oh, hehe thanks everyone

    i was actualyl looking through unit size before, and i came upon it and i thought it meant the actual size of them, like if they'll be drawn small or large, idk if i accidently clicked it to change or not though =X
