I think it's a mod feature that semi-stickies subjects for a period of time. It'll go away eventually, econ just wants to let everyone know that there's new, important edited material in the thread.

In the Throne Room index, click on Forum Tools (top right) and then select Mark This Forum Read. That will remove the bold. Alternatively, click here if you're lazy.

I dunno. I used my awesome moderator powers to bump it, as GH has altered the first post. However, it seems I don't know my own strength. Tincow's workaround undoes the havoc I have wrought.

Before anyone asks, I don't know that the Mongols are besieging Baghdad. All I know is that *someone* is. Check the latest savegame and mouse over the city to see what I mean.

Hmm, well, if they're not attacking the city who is? Perhaps, since it's all happening in unknown territory, it just went by too fast for you to see?

Can I ask that no one reveal the identity of those besieging Baghdad either out of character or in character until we have the information in game. We have spies, let's use them. Anyone curious can always toggle fow, but there's no need to post about it (even using spoilers).

I've occupied Edessa. Henry had enough move to clear out the two nearby Egyptian armies with Elberhard, so I took the liberty of doing that too.

There's nothing wrong with her physically...I was strangely attracted to her, but that's another story

It's just the whole concept of OK writing about it himself...it's like a three way gone wrong and he's in charge...you know what I mean?

I'm sorry to have offended your delicate sensibilities AG.

Econ21 hit the nail on the head, and also I'm trying to portray Elsebeth as a sort of Lucrezia Borgia type character. Without conventional means of power (Lands, titles or martial fame), Elsebeth is using the tools at her disposal to ensure Otto's and her own legacy, and of course to maintain her influence in the Reich after the loss of her husband.

Frankly, I find her a more interesting character to play with at this point, simply because nothing has really happened to Matthias yet. I'm sure that will change, but it's fun having her as bridge.

I've got to admit, after playing one character for the 5 months getting a new one breathes new energy into the game. At least for me.

It took a while for me to get attached to Conrad, partially because I was having so much fun with Heinrich. I think the best thing in regards to making your new character your own is to get him involved in a complex story that really brings out his identity.

If you really think that, you don't have to fight the battle. Your army is still in Thorn and if you think attacking is ill advised, I think the Chancellor would listen. I guess it is up to you to role-play it; the House of Franconia or at least its other generals on the ground may also want a say.

If you don't want to fight the Russians, then don't. Fight the Poles instead.
Remember that if you do attack the Russians, the result counts.

I believe my army stayed just within the rules (12 units, 6 knights (2 dismounted, 2 generals, 2 cav knights)).

Have moved it back in the direction of Thorn as otherwise I would ask you to do that.
The Russian prisoners have been excuted, so they don't pose a threat to the Reich anymore.
