I'm kinda split on this, yes we won, but Xdeath did not fight, as we really agreed on: no proxies.

I'd say refight only your own battle. If Xdeath wants to fight let him do so.

All right, sorry for giving you grief over it. You were just doing what you were told and did an impressive job on Xdeathfire's behalf.

We'll play on, but Overknight, I think there was a consensus a while back to get tougher on proxies - hence the active duty list.

Stig, if I thought Xdeathfire would be annoyed by this, I would say re-fight too. But he has had to fight a lot of battles in France and in general seems fairly relaxed/busy, so I suspect he will be cool with it.

I think it's a bit like those football refereeing decisions, where you let things play on to keep things rolling smoothly rather than stop and start over minor things.

Let's try to avoid another repetition, though.

I don't care if Xdeath agrees on it or not. We agreed on something, why agree on something if we are breaking it?
We might as well attack more cities then said in Edicts, afterall we only agreed on it, did we?

It's a matter of principle, nothing more.

Ignoramus, go back and fight a sally out of Paris. Do not fight anyone else's battle. If you get it done in 24 hours I'll go on from that. If not, I will autoresolve from Tamur's upload.

In this case I'd say let Xdeathfire play his own battle.
And Ignoramus can fight his battles again, ensuring he gets defeated by the second stack (again) to bring us up to date.

I guess Ignoramus assumed he was the only recepient and inferred he was to take Xdeathfire's battle. Of course when I pull stuff like that I'm a bit more verbose.

Thanks, Overknight. With your explanation, it's easy to see how the misunderstanding arose.

Let's proceed as you proposed before - Ignoramus should refight his battle; Xdeathfire can fight if he wants to. As usual, whoever wants to do a battle should post here first to say that they have taken the save. We don't want to rewrite history more times than we need to.

I've been digging the "no proxies" rule except for long absences. The active duty list seems to be working as we intended. Any opinion on whether we should sticky it like SC suggested a while back? Otherwise its going to slip down into the nether regions of the forum until a new person signs up. It is in the library though. just my thoughts.
