As far as I know, being an exemplar member. Helping out a lot and being nice to the community, having a large post count without spamming, that kind of stuff.
I guess Tosa promotes members to SM, so it's his decision that counts. In other words, bribery could work, but where's the merit in that?

There is not a set of requirements for becoming senior member. The moderators get together twice a year and nominate 8 or 9 members whom they feel are major assets to community. This can be for writing guides and tutorials, making modifications, organizing competitions or simply participating in an exemplary manner in discussions.

A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?
Yeah, but look on him....
looked on members list, there are more 'unlucky' fellows with even bigger post counts and time spent here..

Join the KOTR PBM and be active. 6 of the newly declared Senior Members are/were participants in it.
<more serious note>
-Help people who need help, give good and correct advice rather than just say something like "I agree" or start telling your own story that doesn't help answering the questions proper.
-Always follow the forum rules. Both written and spoken of.
-Help the moderators do their work. If you spot someone breaking the rules or posting at the wrong place, let them know.
-Don't spam (too much)
-Be constructive towards issues rather than stand your ground and refuse to move.
-Contribute to the community. Writing poetry for the Mead Hall, participating at the Backroom, writing mods and tutorials, and becoming azette editor are just some examples of it.

Senior Membership has nothing to do with post count and everything to do with the number of camels one owns.Originally Posted by Charge

I'll never become Senior Inquisitor, even though I have an always fanatical devotion to the Pope (TosaInu).

I wonder what these 'camels' you speak of are and if they are not just a illusion of your fevered minds?Originally Posted by caravel

The only thing I don't understand is those camels, that's true.

Me, I'm reminded of Stewie and Brian's little adventure through the Old Continents whenever camels are mentioned. That or Mumagil.
Indeed, they *are* unabashedly awesome -- just about anyone who's played the Egyptians in MTW can attest to that.Originally Posted by AntiochusIII
