    heaven forbid if the Gaesatae were the best javelin throwers in EB1 (with unbelievable force, lethality, and range)..

    There is reason enough for the Iosotae in EB. Really. They also seem to suggest that the Celts only lived in small wooden villages and only used wild charges without any organisation whatsoever.

    Javelins were used extensively and Caesar wrote about river crossings in Gaul while coming under fire from slingers and archers, but the lure of the woad-daubed berserker with his Hallstatt longsword seems to have been to strong to resist.
