Thank you Spain. (Speaking of just that, does anyone else think that "Spain" sounds funny?) I don't like Italy, and I don't want to see them win anything. I have no love for Spain either, but I like them more than the Spaghettilegged luckos at least.

I'm rooting for Germany or Russia now, but with my luck, Spain will meet Turkey in the final.

What the fuck is going on with my pc?

Three weeks ago, I could play EB with virtually no lag for six hours straight. I have 2 GIG's of RAM, nVidia 7600 videocard, and a Pentium 4 Processor with 6,00 GHZ. Now, when I play EB, I can't play any more than three turns before serious lag kicks in.

meanwhile, the dutch over at chiv total war are only slowly coming to grips with the loss...
well, germany is what I'm rooting for..may god have them own all!

The behavior above in this thread for a couple of days has been reprehensible.

What was being said by some of you people at other people here is way way way beyond any line of propriety here. I am utterly disgusted in it. Take it somewhere else besides this forum. Anything remotely like it will be immediately closed and those posting such as that will be removed from this forum permanently. Don't PM me about this either.

Specifically, posts bitching about each others' political views, telling each other to shut up (or much more curse-laden variants of same), posting pictures of weapons *at* each other (just silly and inflammatory), extreme cursing at each other, etc. Seriously - we don't want it here. Take it somewhere else. Don't take it to an EB part of facebook either, that is just as ridiculous. If you want this thread to stay open here, then just be goofy and have fun here, don't take your frustrations/hatred/politics out on other people here.

I'm reopening it after deleting like 150 of the last posts, some of which may not have been so bad but were continuing in those arguments that needed to be gotten rid of. We can still bring back up the old posts and see who posted what, so I'm just going to say "Move on", don't complain about it, don't bring it back up, don't reply to this post. There is no reason to do so.

Well, we've gone back in time. Good thing it's reopened again.

Gentlemen. It's time I put a serious note to this Tavern. Jokes aside, this thread has already been closed down twice. One unfairly, but the second time well and truly deserved. I'm disappointed, as are several others of us, I know, in the behaviour of the other Taverners who took part in that little verbal fracas, now deleted. These even included the Council of Ten, Taverners who've been here the longest, and ought to know that we have here something precious and special.

Let's just set a rule here, please. You know and I know that there is absolutely no way of enforcing this rule. But I am hoping that as fellow users of this tavern, and as members of a community that is independent and usually left to our own [explosive] devices though still under close watch, we can be more responsible, for the good of everyone else.

In short: Don't selfishly get carried away by emotions and/or agendas and end up getting the Tavern closed down. It's bloody inconsiderate for the other people who didn't want to participate, or who didn't ask for this.

So it's simple. No baiting of anyone else in terms of politics and religion. And no rising to take the bait either. These are the two things that always start off the thing. If I see it, I will definitely step in if it gets out of hand. If anyone else sees it, they should step in also. If the argument is interesting and civil, by all means we will carry on. But having been locked and having seen other threads being locked, we should at least now know what the limits are, and exercise due discipline.

It's obvious that the Taverners can't exercise self-discipline. Ibrahim, hooahguy, I'm talking about the two of you in particular. But in general, we are all guilty of this some time or other. So let's all step in and take ownership of this Tavern's operation. Keep each other in check, impose some discipline. That's the way to go.

For all our sakes, please be civil. This is not the real world where problems are in front of you and won't go away. If you don't discuss it here, no one will less of you for refusing to answer or be goaded, and for refusing to start a Tavern Brawl.

This is not 'my two cents.' This is my ground rule. I'm sure many here are heartily sick of seeing the Tavern locked, and will agree with me. You must adhere by the rules, even if you do not agree with them, or the day will come when we will be locked again. And mark my words, that day will come even sooner now. We've already been locked twice. The third time will happen even more easily. Please be responsible.

No. I live in an apartement on the 5th floor, and I've tried going out with her. Made it all the way out once, but I had to carry her the whole way - in which case I might as well listen to her inside. She's scared of the elevator, and if you close the door after you... she gets scared too. She gets scared of a lot these days. Before she fell down from our balcony the second time she was actually quite brave, but not anymore.
