I am not quite sure that I understand your question though. You are saying that you are on the campaign map and you open the console, but it brings up both the console and a shortcut overview (whatever that is) and loads another game?

Or, it loads, but loads the same game, kinda renewing the turn or smth.. At least, the console just disappears :(

Hmm, what is the key for your console and can you check whether in your shortcuts it is not already assigned to something else?

It could also be the infamous keyboard bug though I guess (rare, only some people have it. Do a search here)

on a norwegian keyboard, on my laptop atm. @ and £ triggers the console, not keybinded :S

think i got a step closer, the console works in battles, but no commands work then. And, when i press the console trigger button the game mutes and brings up the hotkey overview. Press it again and the sound gets back.

Cant find any way to change the mute hotkey :(

As I said, do a search in the Citadel on your problem. I recall someone had it before.
