Lots of decent insights............pretty nice article, have to read it again.
For now, the only thing that seems out of joint is, naval battles, 10-15 minutes???!!!!
Why that'll be like a puff of wind!! Where are the long steady TW battles?? It was wonderful with the half hour engagements in RTW and M2TW! Stick to that please!

Yeah, I admit that makes me a little nervous as well, although I'm not as worried (at least not yet).

For one thing, even in Shogun/MTW, the smaller battles often don't take more than 15 minutes, so this wouldn't be that out of line either. Also, he did say that larger battles involving many ships would almost certainly last a fair bit longer -- there's certainly going to be a difference between a battle involving 5-6 ships and one involving 30....

Well perhaps...........it's just that I was afraid that in the quickening times CA might quicken the battles.......I want the Ship of the Line to feel like a Ship of the Line, slow and ponderous, a weighty affair, and not like a cruiser.

Another point that comes to focus, the world map terrain (it deserves it's own thread) and the buildings..........now I like the idea of garrisonable buildings on the field, but I hope that too is a balanced places, I don't want a sprawling farmhouse in the middle of the Sahara desert, nor would I like a ruined wall in every other map, but as nothing has been said about the frequency of their appearance, I guess we can just wait and watch.

Overall, I think its sounds like the game is coming along quite nicely.
