    ATPG:
My thinking is that you directed the town to lynch shlin without any good reason other than saying "he and WH are highest on my suspect list" and everyone else blinding running after you. That alone should be sufficient reason to FoS, as there was no discussion as to why he was guilty or at the top of your suspects list. Add to that, he was behaving as he normally does as townie and helping the town in general.

My reasons for WH were quite clear. He lurked, hardly posting anything. In the other mafia game he did exactly the same and was guilty. That is a good reason to suggest that it is the same here, especially as he was online when people voted him but didn't respond at all.

One has to wonder if you aren't the mafioso yourself and just using the spotlight to direct attention away from you really.

    @FactionHeir

Yes, deflecting attention away from me...

    Too predictable.

Aren't you like the third or fourth person now to suspect me? This has got to be the most counterproductive strategy for a mafioso EVER, if that is indeed what it is.

And as I said, give me another night or so, and my work will be done. Then you all can have a lynch fest on me, and I'll put the noose on myself.

Oh, and there were very good reasons to lynch Shlin. I'll outline it right here for ya, buddy:

    1. Aries claimed to have an ability which could have taken out at least one townie should we have lynched him. I wanted to find out if that was accurate or not.

    2. Aries ability, if town, would be a great asset for town. One more spike for the mafioso to impale himself on.

    3. Aries responded and cooperated with the investigation to my satisfaction.

    4. FactionHeir is usually fairly useful to town, and although you'd make the perfect mafioso, you'd be more valuable to us alive (for now). Especially if I were to die... FactionHeir could easily take over the investigation where I left off. I trust he'd be able to find the killer or at least root them out.

    5. El Diablo was not here to suffer under the intense scrutiny of the investigation, so pressuring him wouldn't reveal anything. But he's still a top suspect.

    6. Warmaster Horus wasn't here either. But, he's next on the list in my book.

    7. I haven't found Shlin particularly useful to town's investigation. We could afford to lose him.

    _____________________

I hope this helps you understand my motivations. One more night and I'll be ready to present my case to town. Deal with me however you like then. Town cannot die today or tomorrow, you have plenty of time left due to the fact that there appears to be no vigilante, or at least the vigilante might have died, or they are saving the vigilante kill until it's a safe shot.

    _____________

I have to head to work now, it will be at least 9 hours before I can log back in, and I have a buttload of homework to do when I get home. I'll still contribute to the discussion, if I am still alive, but I doubt I will be able to contribute as much as I have been.

Ah but you see, its the points 6 and 7 on your list that's worrying me. Why shlin over WH, especially as WH seemed quite a bit scummier as I pointed out?

While there is some suspicion on you (because using the spotlight on yourself seems very unmafia-like, but was nevertheless employed previously), I am more concerned about the others that just jump on the wagon whenever you call it.

But he didn't call it did he? IIRC he was the third person to vote for Shlin.

Actually he was the first. Check page 9's tally and then ATPG's vote on page 10.

Hmm... I'll ask you guys (especially FH) to remember that I've started my last year of High School 3 days ago. I'm going to be busy, and if I lurk, then it won't be my fault.
I've been much less active here than in Starship Exodus (5 posts here, 17 over there; I wouldn't say I lurked there), because there's too much discussion going on. I should have guessed that would happen with ATPG here, but 10 pages for barely 2 nights... TOO MUCH!

Anyhoo, everyone was voting me after 10H35 my time (GMT+2). Folks, I gotta be at the school (which is 20 minutes away from where I live) at 8 am. This means I should wake up 'round 6h45 and to have 8 hours of sleep, I should be in bed at around 10h30.
Guys, when I was being voted for, I was logging out. Checking my PMs, LotR and WotB busied me right before that. I didn't have time even to contest!

So, can someone tell me why I'm under suspicion, other than the fact I've been lurking?
And I've been going through the last couple of pages... I've got one thing to say:

Asking somebody to reveal is almost like quoting PMs. The main difference is that one's got a nice little box around the text.

While quoting isn't allowed, revealing is. Quoting = copy/pasting a huge chunk from the role PM for instance. paraphrasing or using bits and pieces is not considered quoting.

That said, suspicion rests on your behavior as its identical to that in shlin's Starthip mafia where you were the mafioso. That is quite a plausible reason.

If you feel you do not have enough time to actively participate, Chaotix did say you can drop out and give the role to someone else. Otherwise it must be assumed that you prefer lurking.

Now I am really angry, first I am not allowed into the cool club, and now I get bandwagonned when NOBODY even tried to ask me anything? In the first game where I tried to actively help the town, I get lynched just because you 'think' I am guilty. If you, oh I don't know, ASKED me something, and then lynch me, I will be fine. But no, let's lynch him when there is no evidence. (I know its partly my mistake that I did not post that I will be offline, but still...)

In any case, you could have forced me and someone into a tie, thus giving me sometime to reply (if there is an extension period as usual). Just going off and lynching me shows that you want to kill me desperately, a desperate gamble because you found out my role perhaps?

    and to ATPG:

    1. Aries claimed to have an ability which could have taken out at least one townie should we have lynched him. I wanted to find out if that was accurate or not.
I can agree with that...yet you didn't even ask me to reveal. (You didn't even reveal yourself, it seems you are just forcing everyone but you and your oh so special group to reveal)

    2. Aries ability, if town, would be a great asset for town. One more spike for the mafioso to impale himself on.
Same as above, and the mafia would not be dumb enough to attack Aries now that he has revealed.

    3. Aries responded and cooperated with the investigation to my satisfaction.
He has been, let's say, very uncooperative before that, and now you trust him (frankly, I think that the transformation from "NO, I'll never reveal my role." to "Oh alright then..." a bit too quick for my taste...). But me, who has been helping since the beginning, is offed...

    4. FactionHeir is usually fairly useful to town, and although you'd make the perfect mafioso, you'd be more valuable to us alive (for now). Especially if I were to die... FactionHeir could easily take over the investigation where I left off. I trust he'd be able to find the killer or at least root them out.
Wow, how would you know FactionHeir can carry out the investigation later? You cannot know his role at all, unless you yourself is a detective, which I doubt. Even worse, I don't think you can organise a town group without mentioning a single teeny tiny bit of what you can do, I mean, if you say you found someone innocent to anyone at all, thats breaking the rules. So is if you tell them you protect him etc etc...

    5. El Diablo was not here to suffer under the intense scrutiny of the investigation, so pressuring him wouldn't reveal anything. But he's still a top suspect.
    I wasn't here either.

    6. Warmaster Horus wasn't here either. But, he's next on the list in my book.
    I wasn't here either.

    7. I haven't found Shlin particularly useful to town's investigation. We could afford to lose him.
I havn't been useful? I have been posting and trying to find the mafia from the beginning...

If you had bothered to question me at all, I would have happily revealed... but now I can't, so I'll just say you made a big mistake. A BIG MISTAKE (Emphasis on the BIG).

Frankly, WH and the others are far more suspicous and lynchable, did they help the town like I did? Nope, nada.

and finally... WHY is Aries kept alive? His role is worthless now that he has revealed, as no sane mafia would attack him... so you point about how he is oh so important is not so important after all; amd I would doubt that the host would put in the ability to kill the person who voted him, as that just seems so... serial killer-like, such as the role in Taorimina (or something like that...) who kills everyone who voted for someone.

Phew, rant over . I'm just angry that I didn't get to reveal, get into the townie group and see the town win.

Yes, I don't think the town is going to win, the town is led by a crazy lunatic () who everyone else follows blindly (make your own points! Don't just follow someone...), and that is not the direction this game should go in

and here is my super duper conspiracy theory:

ATPG has publicly announced that there is a townie grand plan in the works. If he really is town, he would try to keep it hidden, and thus, when the mafia least expects it, he springs it on them.

But no, he announced publicly, knowing full well that the mafia would be expecting this super duper plan of his, and thus possibly leading to the potential failure of da plan.

Thus, I propose to you, the honest travellers of this strange ship, that ATPG is pretending to be town and is thus the bravest mafia player I have met and the only one who had pulled off this gamble.

I believe that ATPG is scum Please make your mind up yourself, and let me watch this amazing show.

(Yes I know my ideas are a bit 'far-out', but I'm just suggesting it to you guys...)

So were in the night phase i assume? the first successful lynch, i very much band wagoned because i was abstaining, having no clue who to vote for i typically went with the minority, though i was unsure about it, but seeing as my character decided to kill his then ill hav to take the blame
anyway i would be tempted to vote for warmaster horus next, if that can be agreed on, FH, i do see your anger about shlins death, but most characters are suspects, and it seems we went for our instincts, our well (im thinking he may of been innocent lol)

edit: shlin, can the dead post? i thought not! return to your grave! i was never completely against revealing my role i only said 'i feel no reason to reveal my role yet' ive never said 'no way' or whatever your saying, you say i should be killed now ive revealed!? whos the scum now! i got out of death by being co operative, you werent, atpg and the rest recognise that im useful to help against the mafia, so lynching another townie would be diabolical, especially as my role as the good sides summoner rydia hasnt been contest, so get your facts straight, im to young to die yet!

To be honest I don't think not allowing the dead to post is a good idea. Normally dead players are allowed to post but not vote, thus keeps them interested or else the ones that dies early would of totally forgotten about the game. That's what I'm feeling about Motep's game right now.

I'll respond to Aries's points when I know I can post. Right now I am just going to say:

When have not been co-operative? Its just that I find that I have been lynched with no questions whatsover asked at me a bit unfair...

atpg said you were suspicous or something like that and i just went with the minority not knowing who 2 vote 4 anyway, so mayb u should ask him
although the dead cant vote rule doe seem silly, but still it means i can discount your last post

Anyway the night phase should of ended already.

Umm why should it have ended Quintus? Its only been 16 hours. Or is it because you sent in your kill orders?

It wouldn't be inaccurate to assume that I couldn't exactly not know that it is or isn't almost partially incorrect that I sent the kill orders. But on the contrary, I'm possibly more or less not definitely rejecting the idea that in no way with any amount of uncertainty that I undeniably know when the night phase should of ended. So the answers to your question is that....

Want gunpowder, mongols, and timurids to appear when YOU do?
Playing on a different timescale and never get to see the new world or just wanting to change your timescale?

    Shin is gone?

He has little to no suspicion and so we lynch him?

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigght. That makes sence. I appolgise for my lack of attendance yesterday as I has "issues" with work (grrrrr work).

However I have previously stated that I think ATPG is leading and blindly at that. Others had more possibilty guilt attached and yet to "protect the possible mafia" we "lynch the probably town"?

If QJC hasn't put in the death order for me I am bandwaggoning ATPG and/or QJC.*

    Something is not right.

I call it HoS - (Hand of suspicion as all the fingers are pointing that way)...

(*Got this in so if I snuff it I don't break the rules for deadposting)
