    Default The Gaming Quiz

I've not see one of these in a while, so I figured why not:

I got 49%, which doesn't surprise me. I only own a PC these days; I've not owned a console in years.

Actually, my score was still higher than it really should've been, as I had some lucky guesses on a number of questions. Talk about pulling answers out of a dark place....

Way to many old school console questions. You could be a hardcore gamer for the last five years and not know it.

    72%. Not enough console experience.

All the questions about J-RPGs and obscured trivia from console gaming before i was born killed my score.

Bah, I got everything up to round 2 correct and most of round 3 too, but after that...

Would that really make that much of a difference, though? I'm only 4 years older than you are, yet my overall knowledge is obviously still scanty by comparison.

Of course, I'm probably not the greatest example, as growing up I didn't have as much exposure to video games as most kids my age. My parents long held the opinion that "video games are the devil's work", and so I didn't get to play them much unless I was at a friend's house or visiting the local arcade.

Got lucky with some educated guesses, but the degree of difficulty in rounds 5 and 6 killed me. Not too bad for someone who has never owned a console.

The year is not sufficient enough, but when combined with other factors such as loving parents who are technologically-inclined and open to gaming, it does make a big difference.
Whereas other children my age back then would have been playing with their Barbies or such, me and my sister were busy with Dragon's Lair on the Coleco.

    69% at my highest.

    48%.

It's not my age, I was simply not interested in many of the games others consider classics, I played mostly Flight Sims in DOS, some questions about these wouldn't have hurt.
Oh and before playing in DOS I played with Paint, had friends and read a lot more than nowadays.

    Lower than expected
We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

53%.. o.O Being a very casual gamer born in '91 who doesn't play consoles, I fully expected to get 20-30%... though I got many, many lucky guesses. =D
