    Night 1 Ends:
Everyone hurried to their chambers, locking them and storing a weapon close to their beds. Apparently, peace befell the mansion once more. But someone ventured outside, refusing to go to sleep before he had finished hisn usual duties towards the now-dead master. God Emperor sat, bent over the administrative papers that reported of the economy of the family that had been all but wiped out. In stoic silence, he printed rows of numbers in a complex system that he was now the only one who understood fully. A noise disturbed him, and he turned around, suddenly nerveous. In the doorway stood a figure with a bow in hand, aiming directly at him.
"You?", God Emperor managed to whisper. "Why?"
But the figure only smiled and let the arrow fly. Evasion was impossible at this close distance, and the force of the arrow irresistable. The murderer left the steward of the house bleeding all over his important financial documents.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
God Emperor, the steward Alexander Domitian, was loyal!

And so, it came to pass that the next morning, only five people assembled. It meant another burial to attend, and it meant that another attempt to catch the killer was necessary.
    It is now day 2!
Night comes in roughly 23 hours!

What's wrong with pressure on Tiberius? This round is almost over, and you seem to be sneaking by, voting late, while giving the impression you're being inquisitive without actually generating much discussion or controversy. It feels to me as though if the round stands as-is, what will happen is that we will have guessed the wrong person. Your implied support of Tiberius may be a ploy to make yourself look good if he turns up innocent. If you don't like pressure on Tiberius, maybe you'd be willing to comment on what you've been up to, yourself.

I had no problem with pressure on Tiberius, that was just a justification to not vote for him myself. The second part was the same argument Cute Wolf used to justify his vote.

When it comes to what I've been doing, I can only say that without any laundry to do from our masters I was just sitting in my room scared to . And honestly CW I can not understand how you can roast pork in such dire times. Seems to me you are pretty confident to not get hit at night. Seems my vote is well deserved on you after all.

What exactly would you like me to say? We lost another loyal person last night which means that two loyal people have died without any retribution. It seems that I have become a convenient target because of the death of the family steward, which depreived me of an important ally. My day one vote on God Emperor was more because he voted on me first, no other reason. As of now I really have no solid idea for a vote and I will not see another innocent bandwagoned for the sake of it. I appreciate your support Jooray but I would like to hear an explantion of your actions.

Tiberius's argument is logic, and i don't want to see any innocent blood spilled again.

And about the pork, that was the only food left on kitchen. Well, i was a cook, if i want to kill someone, i'll poison his food, not shot him with a bow.

oh, I smell a last minute shift to Cute Wolf coming up, five minutes to the deadline.

Tiberius, you realize that with your vote, if Cute Wolf is innocent, then that places the tally in danger of switching from 3-2 to 2-3. And the timing of this is awfully suspect.

I believe you to be innocent based on something I don't wish to mention here, please remove your vote.

Well, either this sudden swing against Cute Wolf is evidence of scummery, in which case the game is basically over because you obviously have enough votes to win, or I am about to look quite foolish.

Either way, this is going to be an interesting result!

with all due respect ATPG I honestly hope it is the latter rather than the former.

    Day 2 Ends:
The five men once again gathered just before sundown, and the debate this day could easily match the intensity of yesterday's. In fact, when the sun was set low and they knew that their discussions had to turn to fatalistic action, it seemed as if two parties had formed. One accusing Tiberius Of The Drake, and another accusing the man known as Cute Wolf. A brawl broke out and both men sustained bruises and minor enjuries before Cute Wolf was finally pinned up against the wall. The bulgy man who had served the Julii family as a cook for lots of years broke down crying. "I'm sorry, they had my family, I... I had to do it! I killed her - them! - I have the blood of a child and a woman on my hands, end me that I may rush up and talk my case for Jupiter himself!"
Sympathy was not offered the murderer, and a blade was drawn over his throat in the middle of the next sentence that he almost blurbed up; "I can't betray them, even now. They have my fa-"

Silence came as the gurgles of the dying man drowned out in a gush of his own blood.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Cute Wolf, The Cook Sixtus Marius, was a murderer!

    Edit:
I'm very sorry that I might be responsible for a defeat of the town, because I'll be away until Monday and as such will miss at least the next voting phase.
I forgot about that when I signed up, sorry.
If Diamond wants he can replace me of course.

Confirming that civplayah replaces Joooray. Also, sorry for the delay. Internet trouble led me to reinstall my old Europa Universalis 2, and yeah... But I had a legit reason!

Anyway, I have internet now - I'll get the update done as soon as possible - within the next 2 hours for sure - and then you'll have 27 hours for the day phase to restore the schedule.

Again, sorry I'm sure it happens to even the best, not that I'd know.

    Night 2 Ends:
In the darkness outside the mansion, everything was quiet - except for a faint mumbling. In the direction of the source, a kneeling figure was vaguely illuminated by a lamp. The figure was kneeling in fervent prayer over the makeshift grave of Gnaeus Julius. Coming closer and clearly discerning the figure, a stranger could make out the bearings of the kneeling person as a boy caught between the stature of a child and a grown-up. It was the oldest and only-surviving son of the dead senator, Aulus, lost in fast prayer. The stranger drew back the string of the bow, the vague noise of the effort undiscernably drowned out in the noise of the prayer. The adolescent fell silent and sat up as if electrocuted only when he heard the noise of the bowstring slip. The arrow, meant for his skull, went straight into his neck and he collapsed over the earth where underneath, his father's body rested in the cold peace of death. Soon, they would be united in the realm of Hades.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Tiberius of the Drake, Son and Heir Aulus Julius, was loyal!

The stranger thanked his luck for finding the last heir of the house Jullii and went back towards the bedchamber.
A terrible scream pierced the dawning day as the first of the three survivors saw the gruesome scene - the son, dead on his father's grave. Had the Gods no mercy?

There was no longer time to save the House Julii, but they had one last chance to catch the villain behind and expose his crimes - and to get revenge!
    It is now day 3!
Night 3 comes in roughly 28½ hour!
