Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Greyblades is right, though - the replacement players are almost half of the remaining players as far as I recall...
There was one night where pikachu did not attack. Did anyone get replaced just around then?
HYUK-ghost is harder to locate since he hasn't shown up in nearly as many writeups, but I think we might get a clue about Pikachu's identity, should he be among the replacements, using that method.
My vote stays where it is now, though. Nictel is a good suspect imho.

It's funny how you are referring to the "HYUK-ghost" when everyone else is now using his real name, Doopliss.
Are you afraid to write your own name, or is it that you can't help HYUKing?

Oh, and I can't help but notice that you haven't voted yet. Perhaps it's time to place a vote? Or are you waiting to see the trends, as a good scum should do?

I couldn't remember the name, that's all. I've never played a game with Doopliss in it, I think, so it just doesn't stick. But yeah, go ahead and paint the devil on the wall, it looks like I am getting lynched anyway.
Out of the three other candidates for today's lynch, I like ll the best. Looks like it might have to be like that if there is to be any alternative to me, so unvote, Vote: Landlubber.
Skooma's not doing a lot to asure me of his innocence with that noncommitting vote post, but Seon thought he was innocent, for what that's worth.

Hmph, I'm getting a bad feeling off diamondeye but I'm unsure due to my own findings.
Ah screw it. In this game it seems no investigation ability is 100% effective. Vote: diamondeye

N4
Bowsers (1) : Doopliss (it's a good assumption that Samus recruited Ironside/Deleter on that night, instead of performing a night attack)
Phazons (1) : Pikachu.
N5
Bowsers (2) : Samus and Deleter.
Phazons (0) : (* not sure how to explain why Pikachu was inactive)
I think either Doopliss didn't have a killing ability before N4, or the mafia are restricted to a maximum of two kills per night. Which is it doesn't matter, the facts remains:
On N1, N2 and N3, the Bowsers attacks were made by Samus and Peach. On N3 Beskar/Peach is killed, and on N4 Doopliss starts killing.
Doopliss being unable to kill before N4 is a better explanation than Doopliss being an inactive player who's been replaced since.
Besides, I've looked at the four replacement players (acin, auto, Grey, Sasaki) and the timing isn't right. They all came in after N4, except you, Greyblades
Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Also, IIRC we don't know where Beskar got his scan result about TinCow. I think it likely came from Doopliss, who must have been scanning during the N1-N3 period.
It explains how Beskar got his scan, and it also explains why Doopliss tried to kill on N4 : He was the only one who could kill on that night, Samus being busy recruiting Deleter.
And it explains why he didn't kill on N5 and N6: Samus and Deleter were better choices, and Doopliss would resume his scanning duties.
Lastly, Doopliss resumed killing on N7 because Ironside was lynched on D7.
The story fits. I don't think Doopliss was inactive at all.

Ok then if reveals are what you want here's mine.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
GF Researcher
You are a Galactic Federation Research Scientist.
You were stationed on the GFS Olympus at the time of the attack, and were close to the medical bay, where Dark Samus breached the hull. You caught a glimpse of her, but she didn’t see you, luckily. You are in fear for your life, and have no real way of defending yourself. You are prepared to do whatever it takes to survive this nightmare.
Your alignment is GF. (Survivalist)
Victory Conditions:
Primary: Defeat all anti-town forces and survive.
Secondary: You are a brave warrior, but not ready to throw your life away. You can ally with Samus and help her fight both Dark Samus and the IDFH, if you think that will save your own skin.
Defensive Abilities:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
None and if I did I wouldnt give it away
Offensive Abilities:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Scan Visor: Investigate a target’s identity and alignment at night. Combat Visor: Investigate a target’s abilities at night.
The night before last I was given this:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Super Missile: Kill through any defense (one use only).
I used it on JHT last night.
I hope you understand why I dont want anyone knowing my defenses.

For anyone about to post role PMs, a reminder:
It is allowed, but you cannot put them in quotes attributed to me. You cannot put anything (except for my posts in this thread) in quotes attributed to me, for that matter.

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Combat visor doesn't go through cover roles...mmm it's possible the info could be useful (like someone claims an ability that their cover role doesn't show), but exposing the results could reveal what defenses people have and what townies have abilities that makes them worth killing.

I got the combat visor 3 nights ago, I used it on diamondeye the night before last, you know what I got, and last night the rocket took up a turn so I didn't get anything.

Congratulations on surviving this long, and for wisely keeping your codes to yourselves! Earlier in the game I said I was abandoning this system because the Phazon had been, in short, "pwned." While that was true at the time, the game situation is more favorable to us now. As a result, I am posting this statement to encourage you to keep your options open as we move into the end game. We do not expect you all to simply jump up and down with joy and instantly side with us, but it is important for you to know that the Phazon are very much interested in a joint victory with the remaining IDFH players. We request only that you consider whether you are also open to such an arrangement.
I will not be so presumptuous as to issue orders to any of you. Much has changed since we were last in contact, and we do not particularly feel the need to request townie resources anymore (though we will gladly welcome them if you wish to offer). If you feel up to it, please do get in touch with us and let us know your current status. I will once again be watching your posts closely for the code markers. I am aware that many others likely will be doing so as well, so if you do want to contact me, give special emphasis to making the post blend in well. Brevity is a virtue here, as it is easy for me to simply request further information from you if I do not understand the information you are trying to convey. A time delay on the response may help as well. We are not in any hurry, so feel free to indicate your interest in a joint victory at any point over the next few days.
I don't see why people are not calling Tincow out on this, since it is clear that any IDFH players are not interested in a victory with the town, so you should be eliminating any of them. So all those Neutral and GF people should be working together to remove them, lest you lose to them.
Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Don't listen to TinCow and classical_hero's propaganda. IDFH and GF wins together if they kill all the anti-town threats. There's absotely no reason why IDFH would work with the Phazon mafia over their townie friends.
For the record, I stopped reading TinCow's post at the first line: I doubt he has any contact with IDFH, this is manufactured propaganda.

I dont realy see why they would, I dont think there is more than one mafia left that would be able to win with them.

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
I know for a fact that if we had chosen to do so we could have gone for a secondary victory of winning with the GF Survivalists and my cover role stated that my primary goal was to defeat all mafia, and my secondary goal was to join with the Samus mafia to defeat Dark Samus and the IDFH, so it is worth considering that you could lose to the Phazon team team and their IDFH team mates ans I would call them right now.

Not that I haven't said in-thread, but here goes...
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
GF Demolition Trooper
You are a Demolition Trooper serving on board the GFS Olympus.
Your unit was attacked in their quarters and you are one of the few that escaped and survived! You know that what you are dealing with here are some very dangerous hunters. But while you may seem like a grunt, you can hold your own in a firefight- you’ve had to take down Space Pirates on many occasions. You know that the carnage won’t stop until every enemy is gone.
Your alignment is Hero. (Town)
Victory Conditions:
Primary: Defeat all anti-town forces.
Secondary: None
Defensive Abilities:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Hazard Shield: Defend against electricity-based attacks. Shadow Shield: Defend against darkness-based attacks.
Offensive Abilities:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
None
Prime material to waste a lynch on. I've been hit with Scan, Thermal and Combat Visors and everything fits because this is how things are. I'm not scum, and I'm not hiding anything.
Now, can we find a more progressive lynch?!

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Ok then, unvote
@classical_hero: If I remember correctly both sides are in the same condition; one mafia left each. If anything full town victory is the easiest win as it would just require two correct kills.

Nobody is contesting this. It's been said before that:
IDFH can win with the Phazons, if only these 2 factions are alive.
GF can win with the Bowsers, if only these 2 factions are alive.
But IDFH and GF's primary objective is to get rid of all the threats (winning with the Heroes). There's no reason to have a feud between IDFH and GF, even more so when this feud is being fueled by the mafia.
