Angel, Season 1, Episode 1: Nightfall

thefluffyone: I don't even know what I'm looking for, what I'm doing out here. That's it, I'm calling it a night.

Zoom out to top of nearby building, where another figure is watching. Voice over commences

It's amazing what people will do when they face a threat to their very world. Some rally together to fight for what they care for. And others ... just fall apart.

Cue theme music and opening credits

We're looking at a parking lot. ACIN walks across it to a pickup. He starts to unlock it, then stops

acin: Angel, I know you're watching me. Come on out, we know each other far too well for your intimidation tricks to work on me. I know where you are. You're in the shadows over there. Well, I don't know what's caused all this, no more than you do. Angel? Angel?

A crossbow emerges from the darkness, a bolt, or is it a stake, is fired. It strikes acin, and he falls, dead.

Voiceover: Some die quickly, others slowly, but all who are alone fall.


Cut to a rooftop, where Warman88 is walking armed for trouble.

Warman88: Show some Initiative! That was always the old joke. Well, that's over, except for me. I remain, taking action on my own. Fighting for the ones I love, in a good American way!

The following should almost all be in italics as it's stage directions, but that get's annoying, so I'm just going to use standard text.

Warman is tapped on the shoulder. He turns to see a figure, dressed meticulously. A hat conceals his face.

Figure: Looking for me?

Warman: Actually, no. Now if you'll excuse me.

Warman starts walking off across the rooftop. Figure steps out in front of him.

Figure: Well, I was looking for you.

Warman Not interested. Go away.

Warman takes off at a run, down a fire escape through several alleys and emerges on a main drag. Figure is standing at the bus stop.

Figure: Too bad. I've found you, and you'll have to deal with me.

Warman: Fine.

Warman unslings his gun and opens fire on the figure. The figure falls. He bends over to check if it's dead, when hears the sound of his bullets, striking glass.
Warman begins to straighten up, but the figure grabs his head and yanks him back down.

Warman: But, that's impossible. I just fired at you from point blank range, with an automatic.!!

Figure: too bad.

The figure snaps Warman's neck, then stabs him repeatedly for good measure.
