DAY ONE

The doomed souls gathered together in the center of the city, just as the sun was setting, after discussing amongst themselves who might have been responsible for their comrades' destruction. Many fingers were pointed, but eventually there was a lead candidate chosen. He had been accused most strongly by two beings who were absolutely certain that he was guilty of being a traitor. The accused didn't even have a chance to defend himself before the day was over, as the allegations were made at such a late hour. The angelic being appeared before them to hear their answer.

Angel: "Who among you have you found responsible for the deaths of Jeremy Bentham and Niccolo Machiavelli?"

Captain Blackadder was pushed forward, though the crowd murmured at the choice, as another candidate had been leading until the final moments. Still, no one stepped forward to defend Captain Blackadder.


Angel: "Captain Blackadder, you have been found guilty by your peers...."


Captain Blackadder: "Guilty of what? I've done nothing wrong! Who pointed the finger at me? I'll take them all on by myself."


Angel: "SILENCE! You have a right to face your accusers. Subotan, Renata, Jolt, Seon, and Major Robert Dump. Step forward."


Captain Blackadder: "It was you.... it was you who did this to me.... now you will all suffer the consequences. Consequences MOST DIRE!!!"


The assembled group readied themselves for combat.


Captain Blackadder: "Now I will show you my TRUE FORM.... Look upon me in horror, and flee.... IF YOU CAN!!!"


Captain Blackadder removed his cloak and hood, to reveal a figure so horrifying that it defies all description.

Captain Blackadder: "So what's the deal with airline food? I mean, could this stuff actually taste any worse? It's, like, "Thanks, but no thanks. I'm still stuffed from that huge bag of smoked almonds!"


The other beings stood ready to defend themselves, but were slightly confused.


Captain Blackadder: "And what is the deal with those bags of peanuts? Why do they think that the first thing we want when we get on a plane is a peanut?"


By now, everyone in the crowd was stunned into silence. You could hear the proverbial pin drop.


Captain Blackadder: "And what is the deal with the Captain? When did this guy become a "Captain", I mean isn't he just a pilot? If he's a captain then I'm the rear admiral. Because I sit in the back of the plane!"


Somewhere in the distance, crickets started chirping.


Captain Blackadder: "And what is the deal with the pilot always giving us updates on what he's doing. It's like, thanks for the information. The passengers are back here eating peanuts."


Major Robert Dump: "All right, everyone! Prepare to kill the foul beast! Show no mercy!"


Captain Blackadder: "And what is the deal with this guy ordering people around? Doesn't he realize I'm the Captain?"


The other beings advanced on Jerry Seinfeld, and swiftly beat the unfunny comedian to a bloody pulp, and tossed his broken body in front of the angelic being.


Angel: "Jerry Seinfeld, you are hereby sentenced to death. Have you any final words to say?"


Captain Blackadder: "I'll tell you what I like about Chinese people. They're stickin' with the chopsticks."



The angelic being bathed itself in light, and summoned a massive orb of energy. Within moments, the orb began glowing white hot, and the being cast the orb of burning energy directly at Jerry Seinfeld, who was instantly consumed by terrifying flame. The comedian never stood a chance, and incinerated instantly.


"I guess he forgot that a major outranks a captain." Major Robert Dump said with a wry grin.

Doesn't need to be bolded, but I do need to know what item, and what target. Those are important pieces of information.

Some items do not require orders to function, such as self-defense items. They are always active. I will inform you if you get an item which functions automatically. All other items require an order to function, or else they are not used that night.

Items generally do not disappear and can be re-used. I'll inform you if you find a single-use item.

Use the term "skill" or "natural ability" or "natural talent" or whatever to indicate that you're not using items or credits on this one.

Skill-based actions are likely to fail without natural ability in that area. But at least you'll find out if you're talented in that area.

BK voted for Chaotix on the pretense that his name implied his guilt, an accusation first made by Seon. Upon discovering chaotic was actually anti-town, he rescinded his vote, according to his own explanation.

No, I voted for Chaotix because he knew the name of the alignment of the Anti-Mafia faction (Chaotic). I didn't read my PM closely enough and I missed where it was stated. I understood Seon's argument to be the same thing. Upon discovering that my PM had stated that the Anti-Mafia were chaotically(spl?) aligned I took back my vote because it had no basis.

And then he changes his vote as I post this, but changes it for another new member who is also new, and probably also friends with the other new guy. But he still said he changed his vote for a chaotic when he discovered chaotic were anti-mafia, which means he is anti-mafia. And he lives in Texas.

I changed my vote originally because I wanted to see if Earthling continued to ping on my scumdar and because I would have felt horrible if I had the majority share in a vote lynching a new orgah. You might also note that my vote, while not tiny, had no chance of leading to the lynch of mythmonster2. So you can hardly call it picking on a new member.

I was also not serious about you picking on new people. As for Texas, I don't know a lot about foreign countries so I figured it was as good a reason as any of the ones I saw posted here.

I did it because I was scum and didn't want to die on the first night. Major Robert Dump did it because he is my scum pal and he doesn't want to see his scum pal die on the first night.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you actually win any credits by betting on the person who gets lynched; you just get your credits back.

Yeah, that's also wrong. You only get your credits back if the person is lynched and they are not "evil" - they are a chaotic scum or something else. Or of course you could just show up right before the deadline and fold to cancel your wager, and only lose one credit.

Several other people have made several statements that seem rather wrong, so my understanding of the right answers is below:

-People who abstain still lose 1 credit.
-The minimum wager is 1 credit, and the minimum wager is not going to increase by some factor each day.
-Texas sucks

I'd still encourage that collectively, all of us get a plan together to prevent this same thing from happening again and again, people who are able to waiting till the deadline and max betting out anybody else. Though I won't try to lead that effort myself again come this next day or whenever, I could just forget about it and make my own wagers trivial, still point out or discuss issues but there's no way I can be around for the deadline stuff for the next several days if need be.

What I was hoping would happen is that a last minute, 10 credit bet would save the life of Earthling, who was trying to convince people from making last-minute, high credit bets, but BK had to go and mess that poetic event up by changing his bet.

I blame scummy Seon for the death of Blackadder, for I was merely hoping to score a successful bet and win some cheese. Since Blackadder was not Chaotic, there was no payout other than return of wager.
