My main concern is not the inability to talk -- in fact, that is a welcome side effect based on some of the participants irritating comments -- my concern is NOT BEING ABLE TO VOTE, which basically moots a persons bank account, especially when it comes to using your own money to save yourself from being lynched.

Ok, wow, I hadn't thought of that but it's a very good and extremely interesting theory. If we don't hear of anyone else speaking up who was silenced, (three or more people having this happen would indicate some other, one-time event to me) or this doesn't happen again tomorrow, it's definitely worth following up on.

No need, it's good enough I figured out the following anyway. In fact it's so good a lead that I might as well post something else, because the pieces line up much too well. Provided this had nothing to do with Seon or Byzantine's death due to Byzantine's character, whatever happened is a) probably due to a scum, and b) should be followed up on anyway because this is a bad anti-town ability that we don't want hitting other people. If some random person out there just has a silence ability they use on a bunch of people at night, then no, we're not making any progress and they can keep being scummy and hide but worth a try.

However, Byzantine's theory makes intuitive sense, adds up with the PM I got and behavior by several people in the thread.

So, since I wouldn't expect the same of her first to share night action info and we can hardly do this in private- Renata, I'll let you know I attempted an action on Major Robert Dump last night. If you did the same, that's probably our explanation, and that would definitely be some very dangerous evidence about who he is. Now, my action failed - it was an attempt to discover my hidden talent and had no effect, the thing wasn't my talent, but it could have provoked this in return.

But considering that he is, in fact, the person I'd suspect most as scum, reason enough to bring this forward. In fact, he posted some random speculation on the whole topic of silencing which usually means a scum or someone inherently interested in the matter, so in the first place I'm happy to interrogate suspicious parties for trying to silence people even if it's unrelated to the chaotics. And that's besides the fact that he obviously voted at the last minute to save Seon, and they (wifom-wise) claimed to be scum partners, and it was a terrible reason for anyone to try to lynch Renata during the past Day when it was so obvious that if anyone was guilty based on being allied with Seon, it was the Major. And now Seon's response against this hypothesis without a clue where it would go is interesting, almost as bad as Seon trying to get Renata lynched.

And it's self-evident to both me and Renata that neither of us was responsible for silencing the other. I know nothing I did had anything to do with Renata, and if she randomly decided to silence me, why she would pretend to be silenced herself and nearly let herself get lynched is a mystery. I think the same would be obvious to her.

So a third party definitely caused this to happen to both of us (possibly more people). I'd say that third party is looking obviously scummy, doubly so since Renata almost got lynched because of them. And there's no particular hurry now, we'll hear from Renata or anyone else involved soon and see if any more evidence adds up.

Oh thank you! This was a healthy break from studying and I knew nothing would be happening right now so I figured might as well make some people laugh by being typical ACIN. Might post much later tonight with something more serious if Renata and Dump post something.

I've got an alternate theory, Earthling.

It was you who zapped Renata with your stupid silence ability. At least she posted something, you didn't post anything because it never occurred to you that smileys were okay. Meanwhile, you stay silent, knowing that when Renata can talk again she will tell what happened, so instead you say it happened to you as well.
I find it far more likely that more than one person has this ability than one person can use it on multiple people.

I have no link to Seon, other than the fact that I voted with him on day one. I encourage all to go back to the end of day one, and see that it was Seon who made a max vote to put Blackadder to the point of no return. Had I voted 10 on anyone else, it would not have mattered. Before Seon voted his 10 on blackadder, I was trying to decide on which leading candidate to vote one: Seon, Blackadder or byzanitne Knight. Seon voted for Black, Black was unsavable based on numbers, so I put in a last minute vote in hopes of turning a profit because I did not fully understand the rules. If you notice on day 2 I did not vote at all, because it was pointless since I knew that YLC was likely a townie based on B-Rays post.

So the question is why are you trying to dogpile on me? Are you the one who tried to kill me last night? for reasons I won't say, no I don't think you were. You or your scummy friend failed, but it was not I who silenced Renata or you, I simply defended myself. It wouldn't surprise me if you try to silence me for Day 3, since I was the first person to point out that a silenced person was unable to vote.

It's actually quite a good cop out since...well I don't mean to toot my own horn but I kind of made an epic play in the star wars mafia game. One that no one really expected, probably because it was so stupid, but that is neither here nor there.

By duping people into spending money to defend themselves after the first nights murder frenzy, the Chaotics will eventually be able to out bet anyone on lynches in conjunction with the silence ability. Earthling's willingness to so easily incriminate me in a far-fetched hypothesis shows far more ill intent than anything I have done to date. A defensive area attack in response to an action? Please. Also note that he did not say what action, because if he said he tried to kill me and then Renata says she tried to steal from me, well, then the story would not add up because that would make me so powerful I was a game breaker. Earthling set it up perfectly, though, because by text walling on day 1 he knew people would notice his absence on day 2, and they did. When he returns, he has the perfect alibi: he was afflicted by the very trick he used on someone else. Convenient. I make an easier target because I was trying to acquire a bulletproof item and failed, so Earthling is under the false impression that I am unable to defend myself and therefore people will be more likley to murder me

I suggest you spend some money on self defense tonight, Earthling. I hope your action on the first night wasn't purchased, because that would mean you will be near broke.
