I am seeing so many stickies on some forums for threads that seem not to be part of idea of the forum. I think we should cut down the stickies since it would make the forum much neater.

We should probably sticky this thread; it's a good reminder to everyone.

The poorest man may in his cottage bid defiance to all the forces of the Crown. It may be frail; its roof may shake; the wind may blow through it; the storm may enter; the rain may enter; but the King of England cannot enter – all his force dares not cross the threshold of the ruined tenement! - William Pitt the Elder
If we are talking about the Frontroom, I think we should un-sticky the Texas thread and the Beat the person above you thread. Both amount to what the one word story thread is, so they should all be on the same level.

Hvil i fred HoreToreA man who casts no shadow has no soul.
I received a PM about this topic, but thought it'd be best to address the matter here rather than privately so that you can all see my stance on it.
Firstly I agree that, in some areas of the Org, there are far too many stickies, some of which have become obsolete as the membership base has diversified; in the example of the Texas thread, I brought up it's sticky status within a day or two of becoming a moderator, but the general consensus was that it was as much an institution of the Frontroom as the Babe Thread and the numerous relationship topics... thus, it stayed put. This also applies to a thread that we considered locking due to the difficulty in ensuring the rules are observed due to language barriers.
Really though, it isn't as simple as someone saying "this needs to be unstickied/locked" and it happening, there needs to be a consensus among both staff and members. There's a few stickies in the Frontroom that I feel are no longer relevant or require the 'status' of being a sticky, but for every member satisfied by the Texas thread being unstickied, there will be some who are annoyed.
EDIT: I'm going to unstick and merge some of the current stickies in the Frontroom, we'll see how reactions go and then decide whether they'll stay that way. :3

Most male members get insecure seeing all those males. Not me.
