"In 1845, Texas annexed the United States. About fifteen years later, through a total misunderstanding, several states had a sharp disagreement with Texas. If not for the clumsy 'assistance' of some other states, Texas, naturally, would have prevailed, as she always does. At any rate, things were cleared up and all the Other States were allowed to rejoin Texas.

Which is as it should be." :P

The org hates women and holiday

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

Well at least you realise your God-forsaken part of the UK is not, in itself, worthy of a sticky.

I don't get why there's a Texas thread in the first place, since Alaska is bigger and California has more people.

Texas was in the Confederacy though, and that was when the south was the south!

Don't forget that their beer (Lone Star) is awful. Also the Dairy Queen and Whataburger must have been the worst restaurants I've ever been to. YUCK!

Bull. Texas is also part of the Midwest, so its not true Southern, no matter how hard you try to justify it.

Texas isn't part of the South, and it's not part of the Midwest. It's Texas, a region all on it's own.

Actually, if you would split Alaska in two, Texas would be the third biggest state of the USA.

And Alaska parts 1 and 2 would be the two lowest populated states in the union while Texas would still be second behind California.

Just behave your self or Texas might have to send you another US President.

The fact is: Texas isn't number 1.

Like the time the Texas Rangers lost to the San Francisco Giants in the World Series.

3 of the Australia States/Territories are larger then Alaska.

Texas is in the bottom half of Australia State sizes.

WOW, Texas isn't that great at all!

Especially if you look at this:

    Pretty much sums up Texans.

The total of the second pie chart's segments adds up to 101%... those results remind me of this little scene from Mean Girls.

Yes, it's a well known fact that Texans have trouble making pie charts.

Problem when you get a result that has 49.5 and 50.5 is that it rounds off to 50 and 51 so a total of 101% due to rounding error... and where better to have a rounding error then on a round chart.

Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.
