Game Crashes With Crusades

The Spanish did indeed end up letting me through. And this was in between wars with them--they attacked me, I attacked back and took Castile before getting warned by the Pope, and then I made peace with the Spanish and marched a Crusade through their forces (just before they decided to attack me again). So, yeah, I don't think it's very likely at all that a fellow Catholic would block your Crusade.

And the Crusade went off without a hitch, despite the fact that it had over 2000 men in it. Looks like the fix worked!
