I have several rogue detectives and other goodies about to promote; you doctors will cover each other, and the rogues, and we will coordinate in one massive effort.

My advice to you all is to avoid becoming Surgeon; in case we fail, I'd like for you to be able to switch careers and do something else if necessary. The little bonus of counterattacking is not as useful compared to the ability to switch careers. Your choice however.

I just wanted you to know I'll do everything in my power to keep you alive until the moment is right, and we can make our move.

In return, I'll be running for Director in the next cycle. Not this one, still too busy attacking myself.

However, when these rogues and doctors are ready, it will be time for me to become Director and time for you to cover the rogues. The rogues will then annihilate the mafia.

My bet is that those are some kind of third party faction. In a game this size I doubt the communists are the only 3rd party.

It's classic pizza. Margarita Pizza, if you will. Bold to the point of suicidal, with an in-thread defense that consists of massive quantities of ungodly long posts. This is ATPG defending himself with endurance, not arguments. When he posts like this, the point is to tire you out and make you so exhausted from arguing with him that you just give up. It's not a pro-town strategy, it's a pro-ATPG strategy. As for the blatantly obvious private reveals, that's just ATPG being bold in a game that requires boldness to win. How else do you expect ATPG to act in a game where he's pursuing his own goals and there are over 100 people he has to eliminate? When ATPG offers you his head on a plate, you take it, because the who point is that he's gambling that you won't. Get it over with and move on.

Most likely because it all but admits landlubber's own guilt. Which begs the question of why he felt comfortable revealing it to GH.

I know I have a lot of explaining to do, but I don't have enough time tonight. I will tell you that, even though it's ridiculously hard to believe, I am absolutely clueless as to how GH got that PM. I didn't send it to him, nor have I sent it to anyone else. The most plausible explanation is that ATPG shared this with his apparent network of scum, and one of them sent it to GH. I'll elaborate more tomroow-- as I said, not enough time tonight.
Either way, despite the fact that ATPG claims to have lynch protection, the most prudent thing for us as a whole unit is to at least attempt to lynch him.

If ATPG can vouch for landlubber's whereabouts than Aggony is a better lynch. I didn't feel like there was too much difference between the strength of their cases anyway.

I mentioned before that I was working with vig groups. What I didn't say was that ATPG was the one organizing them. I don't doubt that a lot of other people were as well; I don't know who they all are because there were certainly multiple groups doing different things. I was willing to work with ATPG until I got my rogue detective promotion (I'm halfway there), because he was making things happen, but I never fully trusted him either. I know from the game I ran on Giraffe Boards where I'm from that he's perfectly willing to craft elaborate lies to suit his purpose. In that case it was pro-town, but here I'm not so certain. It seems he's fed many different stories to many different people now. I think this PM I got from him supports the idea that he's looking to screw everyone over:

In other words, he really did want to create six rogue detectives, but now I think only to form a hit squad answerable to no one but himself. I suspect he would protect us until we became inconvenient to his plans. I would have turned on you sooner or later, ATPG - looks like it's gonna be sooner.

This is a classic power struggle. Since GH is the director he is using his role to cover himself, since he know that we can't touch him while he is in the role. He is using that as an advantage try and remove a rival. All perfect legal in a game like this, but the fact that so many people are falling for it, is laughable. If GH did this while he was an ordinary citizen, then it would be so much more plausible, but he is using his position of power to try and remove a rival, the fact that he says he will allow himself to die means he is working for someone, s that he is able to take the fall for someone else and it won't hurt them.

An interesting thing to note, sturmhauke, I'm not sure about who else is in your Rogue group, but the name "Vode" refers to the main anti-town role in the game "The Settlement" that was hosted here a few years back. If there isn't anybody who played in that game on your team, I'm sure ATPG would use that as a nice inside joke to himself.
