Sorry guys at work for the past few days, long hours, and drive.
Just got caught up in thread, and have to say, were you guys still drunk from the Superbowl yesterday or what. What is with all the votes on Visorslash. I know that the post was very strange, but it was strange for Visorslash's play style as well. And what, did you all miss the part where it said "but when we use this possession vote...", was it just too obviously scummy that you overlooked it. I do admit it is a strange mafia play, don't know what to make of that, but I do think that Visorslash is possessed or under a spell or something like that. So FOS on all that voted him.
And edse I still don't know what to make of you, you vote for Visor but then you do re read the post and catch your mistake and fix it, but your claim of Doctor, still not sure of that, could be possible in a Pizza game I guess, but you still ping me. But if you are a Doctor, don't want to lynch you, I mean I'm sick now too, may need your help soon.

All I really know is this game is giving me a headache!!!

I think I'll go with Vote: Chaotix for now. You are a way better player, to have miss what the Visorslash post actually said, just sets off that scumdar. And besides you are patient 0 with this "infection", maybe that is how the darklings infect the town, they were already infected. IDK this game is driving me crazy, trying to figure out the mechanics.

However, I just really wasn't paying any attention to the game as I have assumed myself to be a dead man walking since like Day 3.

Five minutes looking at edse's and Visor's posts has clued me in on what's really going on in this game.

Also of note: I doubt the Darklings would intentionally infect themselves early on, if it's even possible. I'd assume most Darklings are uninfected, except maybe one of the latest infections as a failsafe once they thought they were going to win.

At this point, I think Ishmael and Arjos are highly likely to be guilty.

DaveShack is likely innocent. I choose to believe edse's claim because of this business with possessed Visorslash trying to get rid of him.

I'd like to say both Diamondeye and Double A are innocent, but unfortunately we have four Darklings to catch and they wouldn't risk two of their own as infected. We'll see which one votes with us to lynch the scum.

The vast majority of the infected are going to be innocent. I predict maybe one is infected, and even then we don't even know if that's possible. It would be a dead giveaway if they couldn't and their only option was to infect people - but it wasn't. Jarema tried to kill Lazy, but failed. Then we killed him. He was probably the only one with kill capabilities.

By answering your last three questions, I will provide you with the answer to your first.

The town is doomed as the deaths of Chaotix and Atheotes made the voting strength town 6, darklings 4, but when we use this possession vote we have half the votes and will reach it first.

2. This is where "Four darklings remaining" comes from.

3. If Visorslash were to make a scummy post, he would put some semblance of humor in it. He always does. Instead, this one is fairly serious looking, without any sort of wit involved. Almost as if he were instructed exactly on what he was to say.

Interestingly, it mentions the town's voting strength as 6, and myself and atheotes are dead. You'll note that the current number of living players is 12 and that 6 townies + 4 darklings + 2 assumed dead people is 12. Instead, Visorslash's post assumes there are only 10 people alive, in which case his possessed vote would give the mafia control of the lynch, assuming they all showed up to vote first.

Accordingly, edse claims the disease takes five turns to kill players and that last night would have been time for atheotes and I to die. However, the Darklings weren't counting on the fact that edse had previously visited both of us, and that neither of us were going to die.

Which leads me to the conclusion that Visorslash was indeed possessed last night as a night action, and also given the exact text that his post was supposed to say. The Darklings thought we would die, so they made a little-too-revealing post assuming they had already won the game.

4. Certain he was a Darkling. Not certain he could kill. In fact, perhaps you are right and you are telling the truth. It doesn't matter.

What does matter is that you are playing up the write-up where YOU turn into a monster as a "possession", while simultaneously denying the status or even the possibility that Visorslash's post is one.

You are watching this thread like a hawk, commenting just 10 minutes after I made my post. You're voting for edse, the healer who foiled the Darklings' plans, and possessed Visorslash is doing the same. Arjos distanced himself from the edse lynch for a while when he thought the plan wasn't going to work, but when he saw me jump on the bandwagon, he hopped on as well because you had some semblance of a chance then (6 total votes is a majority). All the while before he had been working to discredit edse in the thread, though not strictly voting for him.

That's why you and Arjos are guilty. Your other two teammates did a better job of disguising themselves, probably because only the two of you were needed to push the edse lynch, and they would slip in on the bandwagon at the end.

I...see. I'm impressed at the amount of effort you put into that, but sadly that doesn't make it correct. Firstly, Visor's post. Your first assumption is that he was forced to post it by some sort of Darkling possession. Now I'm willing to admit that that's possible, especially seeing as Visorslash himself hasn't yet turned up to rebut any of this. However, you also assume that the mafia have obligingly given Visorslash completely correct information about their numbers and mechanics, which seems kinda' unlikely.

Secondly, Jarema. You still haven't explained why you think he was a Darkling. Sure, he appears to have been possessed, but as you point out possession appears to be a primary mechanic of the Darklings. When I was possessed I received a paranoid-sounding message from the host and started eating human flesh in the write-up, but that was it - there was no follow-up, no Darklings telling me what to do. For that matter, 5 mafia in a 20 player game (Visor's 4 + Jarema) seems somewhat OP.

Finally, as to edse, I still see no real reason to trust his claim to be the doctor. He first claimed to me when he looked likely to be lynched, in order to get me to change my vote. I gave him the benefit of the doubt then, but then I realised it was odd that he claimed a doctor role in a game with no murders. When I publicly pointed this out, he claimed that he prevented people from getting sick. Then he changed it to say that he stopped people dying after 5 days (which, given the timing, conveniently leaves us unable to test his hypothesis). Coupled with what I think has been some very scummy posts, it seems likely that he is a Darkling.

Also, I have been at least temporarily possessed/driven insane/whatever, and have demonstrated no overt symptoms apart from that night write-up.

I was thinking that they sent Pizza a message to send to Visor. He either had to post its contents or die (or even be banned from the game).
