The hamachi network now loads as max only 5 players, not 8 like before, we are really in problems now.

So, we should search for a solution, maybe Evolve, but as it's going now we will end up without free slots for Hamachi

8 was manageable but 5 is just terrible.

If one of us (possibly me since I don't mind and play EB much more than any other game) were to purchase a network on Hamachi that supported 32 slots, would that work or would all of us need to buy it?

19 bucks for a good year of EB Online is worth it, though I WILL want to run EBNOM and EB on the same server if possible (it will probably be mostly the same people anyways :D)

We could try GameRanger, it works for Vanilla Rome Total War, and a lot of people plays it. I think if we speak with the devs we could access to support for Europa Barbarorum mod, and also some publicy for vanilla players, as they could see our rooms for EB.

We use Gameranger for 4v4 internals in Sith, it should work, and is IMHO much better than gamespy .

Hi friends. First off, NacroxNicke please don't use that sort of language (as in your original post) in a public thread such as this. I'm no moderator but I just thought someone had to say something... Second, I was made aware of this recently. I'm concerned and am going to see what we can do. I will get working on a solution to this and I (or someone in touch with me) will get back to all of you as soon as I can.

It's a RTW-Evolve problem not an EB-specific issue. It can't be EB-specific from the looks of it.

That could work. But I'll need to know that you guys successfully got at least a 2v2 from start to finish without synchronization issues. We can do 1v1 on just about every platform. I've used GR myself for other games, just don't know if RTW is on their supported list. If it is then you don't need to de-mod-folder EB. The exe used is the same RTW, so GR recognizes it. Now that I think about it I have played RTW customs over the Net on GR so this may work.

Why can't we go on gamespy other than the pirates.

There was major GS problems. That's why we moved to VPN in the first place (that's not even counting the latency issues over GS's master server).

GR's problem is that it can run RTW just fine, but mods do not work because it has no option for command line parameters, if we just made EB non modfoldered, it would solve that problem as EB would then run just by clicking on the RTW exe, making it compatible with GR .

Yeah, it wasn't worth the headache of trying to get Rome working with Evolve or attempting to find some other solutions. $19 for a years worth of multiplayer doesn't seem like a raw deal to me. Though if you want to ease my financial "burden," donations are always accepted.
