Trust him the least, by far, out of the consensus core/alliance/whatever have you that seems to be forming in the general [Ephemeral/Hally/Ara] triad that's dominated the last hour or so. His posts are too blendy for my liking, don't think he's done anything remotely townie, kinda reminds me of some of his scum games (in mashes especially) where he's just kind of looked good on surface level and skated by and that's been good enough for a lot of people's first passes (and in mashes, first passes are a lot of the times all that's happened). Notably, I do not have this issue with Hally or Ara and think that both of them have posted well enough so far in terms of solving sentiment + general townie thoughts etc where I don't see myself seriously considering either of them today.

As for Dolby, I've been kind of tossing his posts around in my head for the past hour+ and I do agree with the sentiment that others have expressed that his sort of doubling down is townie, but I also thought his one take on exactly me where he went with the super surface-level read of my posts reminding him of my hyperaggressive approach in the just-finished teamgame was, well, super surface-level.

i’m kinda confused why you’re using mash meta because i don’t think how he wolfs in mashes would be directly comparable to how he would wolf in a smaller game like this. in fact, in the smaller wolf game i read of his (which admittedly was somewhat old) he definitely wasn’t blendy

his takes on manti and dolby were fairly novel when he gave them i think. he definitely seems chill but i think that’s different from being blendy

Sup, none atm really. I'd expect him to do that as either alignment, maybe a slight slight slight town point for Monty but realistically it's probably just rand.

Re: Eph follow-up @ thread in general, I'll freely admit that I don't have any specific pieces of meta to point to and I'm fully aware of the whole "mash vs. small offsite game" caveat w/r/t this sort of thing, but at the same time it's not a feeling I can shake. My first thought was that it reminded me a bit of his play in Elements mash, but then I just checked and it turned out he was town in that one. I'll ruminate on it some overnight and decide whether I was thinking of a different mash or whether I'm just entirely off-base.

I just remember him yeeting khaan for a similar sort of read from what I remember, something along those lines. This is a lot more tame in comparison and from 3+ years ago. That's basically how I remember it.

The only game I've played with GH in recent times he was tryhardy. Is it bad is it good is it meh? It seemed like he was trying to be chill and then for whatever reason took off. It's weird to me.

I feel like GH overreacted to Dolby, I'm not sure if it's unreasonable for him to do that or not, since I didn't think Dolby's read was above scrutiny tbh.
