If Sunbae/Dya/Visor are out, and I have a light V read on Lantana pushing them out of it, that's 4 people.
I don't have a bad feeling about Insomnia thus far, but want to see more from them (and they are active rn), so I'm giving that slot some time.
Ephemeral hasn't posted enough to have much of an opinion either way, but I don't want to vote there rn at least (subject to change depending on whether they are active around EOD and what I see from them)

So that leaves a relatively narrow pool of people and you are in it.
It's literally just process of elimination, and not a huge group of people.

Reason: I don't believe that this is a real read from you.
We have played over the course of 6 years, during that time you have seen a plethora of games from me from both sides, on both sides.
The stiff writing style comment might resonate with someone entirely unfamiliar with me, since I have literally received comments players who didn't know me about it in the last two full games I have played (on MU, and can link if needed. One wolf game, and one as village PR).
Additionally, it is something people have commented on when unfamiliar at other points in the past.
It is something that is not alignment indicative at all, and someone who has played with me not just a few quite quite a few times, would know this well.
Someone with that much experience would also be well aware of the fact I've never been much of an interrogative player, but rather than observational player, with questions forming more sparsely when I have more to work with.
This is a consistent enough fact about me that it could even be used to describe my social style as a whole. (which is probably not great, but c'est la viei)
Lastly, I am less committal on reads than I am as wolf, by a pretty fair margin, especially with such minimal information as is present in a lower volume game.

Conclusion: you are voting me for things that are either not alignment indicative or are in my villa range, and while I would be perfectly fine with a vote for me based on a legitimate case or grievance, I see no legitimacy in this, thus you are a wolf.

That is true, I was gone for quite a while, so perhaps I am being a bit unfair in that respect.
I don't retain meta enormously well either, so I'm fairly certain I had something of a reset upon returning.
I'll unvote for now and mull it over.

not particularly enamoured with visors posts for reasons i can't find a way to articulate, but both dya and sunbae liking him is good enough for me to give him a pass till I can actually get into the headspace to dive into stuff properly

lantana has been... marginally ok

the way mischief handled his visor seems alright, #168 and the first paragraph of #173 being what i mainly refer to here, overall feel fine about the slot atm

had a good kneejerk reaction to insomnia, not conclusive by any means but would not kill d1

ender/taffy/rask is the group i feel the most meh about out of the bunch and am probably fine with voting in today

This unsollicited read creeped me out btw, I really don?t think anyone should be able to tell the difference between a yolo villager or someone really excited to have randed wolf (and posting empty content). It felt like either a pocketing attempt or bait, and since it was 3am at that point I didn?t feel like figuring out which. I also don?t like how they later explained it both as a lazy throwaway read and as an attempt to get me posting more on-topic.

Re taffy, I just did it because newer player I think and posted a bunch at the start, small stuff but figured if villa they might bounce off it. They went to bed apparently so I guess not. And they didn't really talk about the game so I guess no read there is fairer. Or rather I want to see how they approach solving overnight.

Then later Sunbae shows up (my read on Sunbae btw is ?probably town, because they described their wolf play as nefarious and slimy and none of their posts feel that way?). Sunbae explicitly says to Insomnia that they?re down to get the ball rolling on actual play, then starts a conversation about DnD with Ender, which Visor decides to hijack (and note that they still ignore Ender completely)

I have managed to make the cancelling more like 10-15% so I'm actually pretty happy. But also kinda sad that it did get cancelled.

10-15% is incredible really. Super jealous of your squad being able to do that. We had a stretch where we went like two months without a cancellation and then it just fell apart where we'd go two weeks cancelled, a half session cause someone said they just weren't feeling it, a cancelled session, a full session, then repeat for a few months until we kinda just ... stopped.

Put it this way: we're currently on Hiatus for the last 5 months and if we don't finish by October it will be 4 years of playing curse of strahd lol

We'll see if they can keep it together or if schedules/desire to play breaks it up. Little worried it's just gonna collapse after 1-2 sessions.

(Like the 'oh that was fun we should do this again sometime' that turns into never)

I hope it ends up being something they stick with and have fun with. D&D is such a good time if you can keep it going (plus I'd love to play later in the year when my schedule opens up and they are on a different module)

I might even throw my DM hat into the ring later to run one of the MTG modules (or even a more custom one that I designed years ago when we thought we'd be playing our games every week)

Actually no! I did a custom module for MTG Amonkhet. They have a module for it themselves but I ended up taking it off into a very different direction using their stuff as a baseline.

So... is Visor just socially awkward around new people and Sunbae the only one here they feel comfortable talking to? Are the rest of us not good enough for chit-chat? Did Ender ask to take over the conversation in wolf chat because he?s scared Sunbae will find him out?

(there were posts about actual game-related stuff inbetween the conversation that I didn?t copy, I wanted to show the difference between their posting before and after)


I also thought their response to Lantana?s vote was overly defensive. For someone who professes to be aware of how they are perceived and to purposely work towards a certain perception, that seems like an odd choice.

I am aware of everything I post? I don't make idle posts in ww games, even posts that seem lazy and noncontributive are done with an eye towards how I think I will be perceived, how I want to be perceived and how I need to be perceived.

Any villager worth their salt should be consider their posts.

I don't see an issue with being diplomatic in 24 hours phases either, I didn't want to get into a brawl with insomnia over a misunderstanding of a post, especially because in a few hours I'll be afk till near EOD.

Whether his read on me was something he actually believed or something he thought he could push until I closed it down is something I remain uncertain of

It might be weirdly phrased, but Sunbae's posts don't feel like they're trying to control the thread, if that's better. Though I have noticed that they're defending Visor when others voted there, but then, they might just be right and I could be wrong.

I just wanted to express a deep appreciation for reading my post. Correct me if I'm wrong, but "villa range" sounds like "yeah they could post this way while villager" not "they wouldn't post this way when wolf".

I feel like we've seen very little from anyone that could not happily live in their wolf/town overlap, but as I said I don't know most of you.
