I voted Casse but I think that you should play a faction you like. If you don't like what you are doing then it's likely you will abandon the AAR.

I'd say Casse and start about five to ten years into the campaign. I enjoy "barbarian" AARs--they suit my writing style. Good luck, and I'll be following as time permits.![]()

Indeed there has, and a rather good one it was.
It depends. I happen to be quite demanding when it comes to AARs, meaning I like to see that the writer has at least some decent of the history of the faction he has chosen. So it depends on how well you know a faction.
