    Default the depressing thread...

    hi!

I figured I'd start a deperessing events thread, to document all or some of the depressing things everyone has been through (comically is preferred). I'll start:

-The other day I managed to reserve a trip to see a lecture on dinosaurs (I'm a paleontology major), and I was looking very much to febuary 21st, to enjoy hearing more stuff on dinosaurs.

then, this afternoon, I went to look at my physics schedule, and I found that my lab is also on the 21st, from 8am to 8pm, so I can not see it. And I was so looking forward to it..

    *goes away clinically depressed*
I was once alive, but then a girl came and took out my ticker.

Oh cool! Paleontology is an interesting subject, I think most kids who had a dinosaur craze at one point considered this as a career path. Sorry you missed out on the lecture.

On a side note, do be sure to let Gregoshi and Kukri know about your future discoveries. I'm sure they've got fond memories of their youth back during prehistoric times!

Well I have to play Concertino de la Camera for a competition next Saturday and I am not prepared at all.

Even worse, I have an accompanist practice in about 2 hours and I am not really ready......Now I think of it, I better go practice.....

I can't tell wether the teacher is really nice and just lacks social graces or she is mean as hell and tries really hard with this nice facade.

    Either way she hates me.

I come back to my room tonight to find that two boxes of my precious Cheez-its are missing. I love that food more than life itself. So now I won't get any sleep tonight because I'll be too busy being angry.

Prepare for a GH on the warpath. Somebody's gonna pay for this.

From the last time you had some alcohol, you should be thankful. You confessed all your secrets to me and then vomited everywhere. My sink still hasnt recovered. Now what did you learn?

I swore to my self that, that night will be the experiment to know my limit. And now that i know my limit, I wont drink that much ever.. Sorry about your sink though.. That was a collateral damage

Still.. I sometimes feel like a cup of wine but it has to wait for another 3 years

I got a new one.. I have to write a practice essay on the theme

"What they wear tells us what kind of people they are.." Explain this statement using the example of school uniform. and the only stuff I could think about is the length of Japanese female students skirts and how their short length is unhealthy

In my own life things are good, but I have this friend. She finally divorced her addict husband this past year, kicked him out and took control of her life and the lives of her daughters. Put her life in order, you know?

Did I mention that her kids and my daughter are like sisters? And that she's drop dead gorgeous?

Only now the pattern of her life is asserting itself again. She's seeing a guy. Not dating him, because he's still married and has a son, just 'seeing' him. He's also her boss at the bar where she works nights as a bartender. And she's falling in love with him, so she forgives and forgives and forgives every time he has an excuse to drag out his marriage, to go back to his wife. I mean, the guy didn't even get her Valentine's Day off?

This guy does not have his life in order and I can't help thinking that no matter how good a person he is, no matter how she feels about him, he is going to make a tough situation worse, for her and her kids.

The part that gets me is I'm not entirely sure there's anything I can do about it. We're all (Him and his son, her and her twins, me and my daughter) going to do something fun together with the kids on President's Day and there are some things I have to say to this woman that are definitely going to **** her off, and might even end our friendship, which would just be awful for my daughter. She's helped me work through some stuff recently with complete honesty, and I have a duty to return the favor but I can't figure out how to do it the right way.

    vent over

    I have a depressing story!

Regina R---- was a student at Columbine High School in April 1999 when two students went on a murderous rampage. In April 2007, she was a student at Virginia Tech when another student went on another rampage.

Fortunately she survived both times, but tell me if any such series of occurrences could be more depressing? Walks away depressed for having remembered this depressing story...
