This reveal of Captain Blackadder could be one of four things.
- He could either be programmed to do this as part of his role.
- It could be part of his victory condition to get lynched (neutral role).
- Alternatively he could be a puppet and distraction sent out by the real killer.
- It could be a way of branding himself innocent through WIFOM arguments (no killer would say they are the killer).
I'd say it would either be 1 or 2 - maybe even 1 and 2. 4 is the least likely - it seems a bit of a gamble when he isn't under pressure. As a result, I suggest you ignore him.
