Can i just remind anyone listening to Andres mad ramblings that he is a solo serial killer... not a vode or iffo agent... so unless something strange is happening Andres would have exactly zero knowledge of any vode iffo alliance...

    Ignore the unhelpful lynchee!

Also lets not give Jolt the time of day either...

I suppose if you were to convert someone who better than 'khaan ?

His roleplaying of his poet role does give him great cover...

Also im 99% sure that Yoyoma is not guilty!

    DO NOT LYNCH YOYOMA!

    tally so far:

    Yoyoma: 2 (Shinseikhaan, Lord Winter)
    Tristan de Castelreng: 1(boudica)
    Khaan: 1 (Yoyoma)
    Lord Winter: 1 (Psychonaut)

    Abstain: 1 (Tristan de Castelreng)

While Tristan is being cagey with his vote-tampering role and his reasons for hating plebians I also find Lord Winter's vote on Yoyoma to be a tad over-eager.

That tally is incorrect, the vote of the good men counts double.

    Correct tally:

    Yoyoma: 3 (Shinseikhaan, Lord Winter)
    Tristan de Castelreng: 1(boudica)
    Khaan: 2 (Yoyoma)
    Lord Winter: 1 (Psychonaut)

    Abstain: 2 (Tristan de Castelreng)

Well my detective result told me you were a serial killer (of sorts) so yes i tend to believe that... so unless something strange is happening... you are just here to confuse!

Even if you do have knowledge of it your obviously not trying to help the town... so your trying to confuse!

Im hoping Tristan will add a vote for 'khaan..

Who voted the other player first... 'khaan or yoyoma ?

The mafioso are within their rights to try and mess with us. They were apparently up against 5-6 (!) people who could investigate, so they're allowed to have their fun in death.

I voted for 'Khaan after he voted for me. But I was mainly doing it as a way to emphasis my suspicion on him. He's been very quiet lately, and then stepped forward to vote for me. I don't think my death right now is a good idea, and I'm only hoping I have another chance or two to help town with this.

I'm going to go back to my theory from yesterday:

    unvote:'Khaan

    Vote:Abstain

Your death is not a good idea right now? Will it be a good idea tomorrow? You need only one more round to accomplish your mission?

You want another chance to help town? That doesn't really sound like you have a true pro-town role.

No it wouldn't be a good idea tommorow, but if you read the copy of the PM from Reenk I posted, you'll see that it says:

You once again prepare the night vigil, with a sense of growing urgency to root out the last usurper.

If you have a problem with my attitude towards the situation, you'll have to take it up with the game host.

khaan promised me a sonnet when the game got tight at the end and he was voicing his final suspicions. No such sonnet has yet appeared.

In all seriousness, this smells like khaan all over. I suggest you lynch him.

-edit- for the record, this does have a small basis in fact. Reenk has several times made a point to note khaan's contributions to the thread. Seems like a thing that Reenk would do and point out in the commentary (if there is one) later.

Ironically, one of the reasons I've slowly been getting uneasy with you is your almost complete neutrality in the thread. You've just been sitting back, posting your investigation results, and making mild commentary that doesn't accuse anyone for several days now. This is not helpful to the town and it seems scummy. I'm getting a very uneasy feeling about this game at the moment and the one person who would have the ability to manipulate the town into lynching itself into oblivion is you, since you're the only detective left alive. I would feel a lot more comfortable if you would speak up and let us know who you think is acting scummy and why.

Y'all lynch me if you want. From what I can tell, though, I'm being accused of pulling a 'Khaan by, well, 'Khaan. And, quite frankly, that's not really my style. I don't really have time to keep doing this, and I don't really care about winning for myself. But I know some of you likely do, and you all deserve to win if possible, so I'm still going.

    Anyway:

    Vote:Khaan

    A) Who wouldn't want to convert him to their side.
    B) Things are just too quiet.
    C) I just don't trust him.
    D) I'd imagine whoever was converted was likely already investigated.

The PM you sent me didn't accuse anyone of anything or give any reasons for actually suspecting a particular person. Your vote on khaan was retaliatory and came only after attention had been focused on you. It doesn't ring true.

Please understand, in this game, in a matter of a couple of turns, we went from having a massive amount of solid evidence and information to a virtual trickle. And what is there to replace it? Speculation?!?

You want me to suddenly start focusing on speculation as opposed to results!?!

How is that possible compensatory, compared to the rooting abilities of the earlier portion of the game?

Yes, I do. You are just as much aware as I am that the investigation results are likely a dead end. Obviously you will (and should) keep investigating for as long as you are alive, but it's time to start moving over to other avenues of analysis. I have won as mafia twice. In both of those victories, I survived the end phase by manipulating the town into an ever narrowing list of lynch suspects based on who supposedly could and who could not be a mafioso. The town didn't realize that this list of 'the only possible' suspects was itself manipulated by my mafia team to focus attention away from us. I am concerned that is what is starting to happen here, and I am trying to deflect it before we get caught in that trap.

We still have many day phases left and we can afford to take this slow and steady. People need to talk, accuse each other, point out inconsistencies, and explain reasons for suspicion. At this point in the game, the information derived from those conversations will be more valuable than the now somewhat questionable detective results. If we keep quiet and do not start speculating, then we are in danger of losing.

    Day 9

As the sky dimmed, the discussion which had started off so slowly had engaged into a heated debate by the end. Even the quietest man of them all Ichigo spoke up. The noble man known as Yoyoma was fingered the most, especially by some spirits of the dead, but as the tally was counted up, the support for abstaining was the strongest.

"A wise choice," remarked the priest king Reenk Roink. "Your fruitful discussions earlier had come to a standstill. Though it is not surprising, as although this last threat may be unable to harm us, he certainly is the most able to escape our harm."

"I will now decide what to do in this situation. As you know, I have many options, but I have decided to choose from among you eight settlers, one who will be executed. May the gods guide my random choice.

After a moment of deliberation, the priest king shouted: "Tristan de Castelreng! Come up here, for the gods have selected you today. Shall you be guilty, then the gods have certainly been most kind to us. Shall you be innocent, then may the gods look after you in the next life."

Tristan de Castelreng vomited in his mouth after hearing of his doom. He began to plead: "Please my lord Reenk Roink, I have always thought this system of having these settlers vote was a terrible idea. Especially the common rabble, may the world be free from there hideous sight, with their greasy and unruly hair, their dirt covered faces, their chewed off fingernails, their atrocious clothing, and their unbearable scent. I know, I'll change the tally!"

As Tristan de Castelreng walked up to the tablet with the tally, he suddenly stopped and cried out in pain: "Damn this hangover, oh I give up! Please priest king, I hear a sword to the neck is a most effective chaser."

Reenk Roink obliged and personally chopped out the head of the hungover oligarch. As he looked at the body of Tristan de Castelreng, a realization came over him that the man he had chosen was not the threat he sought.

He turned to the settlers and said with urgency: "Try harder and find the threat!"
