I did a thread on this a while back. People were quite cool with terminators.

2050: robot warriors of the west against billions of brown people from everywhere else fighting for the remaining bits of habitable land*. You read it here first.

I'll be dead anyway, and I'll be encouraging my children and grandchildren to join the army. All present evidence to the contrary not withstanding, I reckon the government will have to look after the armed forces.

(* I don't condone this. I just look at the demographics and the way the climate is going and think this is a likely outcome)

But... what if the yellow people of the east make robot warriors that are more better and build them more faster than the west?!? Will our robotz haz enuff tuff to beat theirz?

Last I checked Japan is light years ahead of everyone else in the mecha race.
