There was some show where they were asking Americans on the street to show where Iraq was on an unlabeled world map. When they didn't know, they showed another map with every country labeled, except that Australia was labeled "Iraq." Everyone said "Oh there it is! I knew it was somewhere in that area, I just couldn't put my finger on it." Embarrassing.

I watched it and almost cried. Where in (stream of morose and forlorn explicitives uttered in pained desperation for some core of sanity) do they find these people! It almost makes me want to institutionalize eugenics and intelligence screening for the whole population. Those who fail to meet the standard would be executed.

Such blatant (yet another stream of impassioned rage) is uncalled for! The US education system and general population FAIL, HARD, EPICLY SO!

Of course, I'll admit you start asking where some countries are in Africa and I might start having issues, but seriously, Iran =/= Australia! Kyrgyzstan? Really? I know nothing of the country really, but seriously? Are people that naive and empty headed?

Thank god he didn't ask where Liechtenstein is, I'm sure they would have pointed at Russia, and said something stupid about Dracula living there.

To all the Americans, you are not alone. I'm pretty sure you can find that sort of people in about every country. In countries where the information is free and easy to get (western democracies for example), there is simply no excuse to be so clueless.
