    Default Banning Thought

The human intelect has reached its limit in this century. Shall we ban thought for the next generation?
I mean thought is a waste of energy and all you get from thinking is headaches. Does anyone want headaches? Can you handle headaches and sleep disorders?
Why do we need to think anyway? Most basic functions, like eating and cooking are allready pre-programmed into us. Even chimps now learn some human traits.
Wouldn't it be better if education went down the sewer and all humans would be able to behave like irresponsible children 'till they perish. I mean all crime comes from a simple thought. Banning thought would just be able to solve the issue of crime.

    Th ideea is simple.
The more you think, the more you're likely to get a headache. The more you think, the more likely you are o fail in a struggle (what comes to me in mind is "No mind" from Martial Arts movies).
In the past thinking was a necessary feat (almost all our development required thought). But now you can have so many machines doing your work that thninking has been reduced to flicking on a switch. The modern world requires less brain-usage than in previous ages.

Ok, from a medical standpoint, for most people, innactivity causes depression and anxiety, it is a sure fire way to an unhappy life. Adversity and hard work when surmounted, make you feel good. Thinking is needed in order to do so.

For fun I write devotional poetry, perform exegises and write philosophical and theological tracts.

How am I supposed to do that without my brain? What do you want me to do instead, go out and have SEX?

I think people who propose banning thought should be banned.

So you have to quote some other guys because you can't think of a reply yourself?

You can't compare chimps to humans because Chimps get angry and throw their feces at one another and Congress gets angry and makes Earmarks -- which is the equivalent of doo doo -- and earmarks dont require throwing, therefore Congress has teh win because they expell less energy throwing poo. Behaviouralists estimate that the average person has approximately 60,000 individual thoughts per day; additionally it's estimated that as much as 95% of our daily thoughts can be classified as both repetitive and unnecessary.

You know, Dadaist poets used to pick random words from a dictionary and bind them to write a poem. You could try that and see how your overall performance has increased.

    Steps.
1)take random words from the dictionary (open pages at random and select words)
2)paste them on a word .doc.
    3)print that file
4)slice the paper so only individual words remain on each piece of paper
5)select words at random and bind them in a logical way
    6)read your poem

That is poetry the Dada way.
