Strikeout!
Not that I'm complaining, but... I should have a different score from Chaotix considering what happened in the last round. Him being dead, me being alive, me with the mission to kill him, Khaan being on the same team as me, Khaan being in first place.
I'll take it but I think it deserves an explanation.

Hrmm... I am confused, but also less annoyed at AVSM, now.
It's odd that he somehow avoided the cult, but if he was pursuing a solo victory, I understand why he betrayed me.
And I know that I was right about khaan. ATPG told me he was completely under control... but if he had Psychic abilities I knew he had to be a Nephilim himself.
Well, good game, although the ending was a bit... strange, to say the least.

OK YLC, now can you actually post the plot and the roles? Here's what I got so far:
Day 1: You're Jorg the Engineer, you have a team, yay
N1: One of your teammates gets drugged and his abilities get all wonky yet its not in the writeup
A few nights later: You are converted to Random cult - use random.org for votes/kills. No other details about cult provided - whats our motivation, goals, etc. Ok I can live with that.
Next night: Send in order to block. Instead in writeup I am Blorlax the corpse builder (where did I get all those corpses anyway btw?) Apparently I am converting my former teammate to a mindless doll and know exactly what's going on. What does it have to do with Random cult? Why is Random cult even trying to kill people? What do we need a corpse throne for? I thought we're all about random.org! Bam you're dead. No, wait, undead. No, ok, re-dead now.
It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then, the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.
I wonder how I survived...
First off, I'd like to apologize to YLC for being so inattentive in this game that I had to be called out on it in a different one to actually start doing something in it.
Incidentally, I think this lurking actually ended up helping me out in the game. With general night-immunity, I would need to be lynched, and with all the cultists, esoteric power roles, and extensive write-ups, suspicion generally escaped me entirely. I was simply a regular townie to them, with no need to waste a lynch, or two attacks on.
After I was indoctrinated, things got a little hard to follow. I'm still trying to figure it out.

i am just glad i am not the only one who doesnt understand the whole plot![]()
My original role PM:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Night one, I targeted WhiteEyes. Apparently something blocked him, and was lucky not to be killed. Apparently, YLC very literally meant "pilfering", and WhiteEyes never got his powers back.I thought it was a temporary thing, and so, I decided not to mess with White eyes again when I found out what his ability was.
Incidentally, the same night, Pizzaguy apparently targeted me, as I was apparently part of his victory conditions. When he targeted me(not a kill attempt, something else apparently), I didn't seem to take to well to the whole thing. And thus, Pain and Agony were born.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
My intention was to ride Pizzaguy all the way to a final round, where I would whip out Agony for the first time, rob Pizza of his own vote, and ram the world's largest, sharpest knife into his back. And twist it.In the mean time, Pizza proved a highly valuable ally, as he had infiltrated two different townie groups, who were effectively killed off, though we hit a mighty snag when TheFlax's group blocked me. The night after I'd been converted into Pain and Agony, I picked up on Chaotix' highly scummy behavior he'd been engaging in with Pizzaguy- far too cautious, far too complementing, far too wishy-washy. Turns out I'd been right, and Chaotix had been under my thumb since night two. Unfortunately, as I'd stated, TheFlax's group blocked me, which released Chaotix from under my control. And, of course, I was a duntz and didn't ask the right questions to figure out he was a supreme cultist.
Of course, I must thank my "partner", Askthepizzaguy. It was a fun ride. It was informative watching you snake your way into pro-town groups, and it was fun trying to decipher the game's mechanics with you. I look forward to more engagements in the future. Just know that I will rip your heart out if I need to.
Anyways, it was a fun game, YLC. I'm still a bit confused by some of the mechanics, but I'm more cooled down after my little tirade. I'm sorry for any insensitive remarks I made. You're a very creative and engaging host. And Chaotix, I'm sorry for ripping on you- you did what any good mafioso should do, and probably what I myself would have done in that situation. What I said wasn't called for.
A bit of what I said that round was acting- in the same way my complaints to pizzaguy backstabbing me were. But much of it was pent up frustration, and I was wrong for having said it.

I'm glad my group actually did something. Blocking 'khaan was the only success we got for the whole game. For some reason we were never able to get our orders right or something interfered. Even if I was clueless and manipulated throughout the game, it was a fun ride, especially try to hide from ATPG I had been converted. Thank you YLC.

Interesting...
Ah well, still was a fun game. I'll take the second place slot, then. Congrats, Khaan.

Interesting game, even if I was killed off early and had no clue what was going on. Thanks.![]()
Don't worry about it, khaan- you played an excellent game. Full of deceptions within deceptions, and you profited the most from it, it seems.
AVSM and Iskander, however...
I'm curious as to what made AVSM decide to betray the cult, and vote against me, instead of going with the *nearly* unbeatable three vote advantage. What was your thought process behind that?
And, as for Iskander: what, did you sleep for 24 hours and miss the vote?
What made you so resistant to working with me?
Ah, I may as well post my role pm, too, before I empty my inbox. It's a real gem...
EDIT: Here it is:

Well, to put it simply, Iskander wasn't going for it, and I had both the possibility of my own victory, as well as immunity from night-kills. So I decided that I could make it through well enough if I broke ties with you. Iskander, I'm not sure what he was thinking. In the end, he just died.

I am sorry for it being confusing, the theme of insanity and madness does not work well for anyone but the GM![]()
I think the biggest frustration was not receiving night results pms. I had no idea that we blocked khaan sucesfully for example. I was relegated to reading the writeup and seeing / not seeing my name mentioned, and then having me do / not do something that could be interpreted as role blocking, and still have no idea if it suceeded. I think the townies needed way more insight than we got, particularly into our own actions.
I did like the idea of the day writeup. You could force a reveal of the miner's names by drawing them into a discussion.
This was before I was blocked and recruited in the SAME night...Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Here is what YLC sent me after my conversion.....Chaotix did more damage converting me..... then helping him win....he lost four people....I can't believe my random kill ability did that much damage....Originally Posted by Change in role PM

thanks
but i still hold the cultist foreman group responsible for my lynch![]()
We weren't cultists. Only the foreman.
Hey Chaotix, I received PMs from both you and Pizza. Not entirely sure whom to trust, and with my internet abilities severely limited, I decided to go with Pizza. Partly because his argument made sense and my mason group thought he was a good guy, plus to help him I merely needed to abstain. I didn't have the time to try and keep re-voting until the right person came up. Then at the end he asked me to vote anyways, but by the time I received it the game was already over.
Strikeout!
Sad part was.....we all lost to Khaan....Why did ATPG trust Khaan???
