Thread: Drew Breeze ad

    Default Drew Breeze ad

Forgive me, I'm not sure where this thread should go.

Can we please get rid of the Drew Breeze ad at the bottom of every ORG forum page? It's one of the few ads that include audio but do not have it muted by default. I'm really tired of hearing "...PLAY! Hi kids, I'm Drew Breeze..." every time I open up a page.

It's not something the .org can fix for you. I don't even get them because I get different ads because I'm Dutch.
But there are a legion of apps that can block ads for you. Firefox has several plugins for that very purpose.

Adblock or NoScript for Firefox will kill it. NoScript requires a little time to get used to, but for me it's second nature now.

I have my speakers off so I can't hear anything. Is the ad really that annoying? You could use one of the ad blockers that other recommend.

If you're still on IE7 like I am, you can use IE7pro.

Guys, really, like Alexander said, AdBlockPlus & Firefox. If you are still using IE, then stop being a dinosaur/Pikachu and evolve!

And don't evolve from IE7 to IE8! That is a horrible mistake. It's still a BETA and during the short time I used it surfing the net it was unbearable. Using IE gave me lots of tracking cookies as well.... I recommend either Opera of Firefox.

Pikachu is better than Raichu. IE8 FTW.

Nah, IE8 is more like going from Pikachu to Pichu

IE8's "new tab" button makes a new tab that can't load anything! And it makes it so that you have to shut down your computer or endtask it to turn of IE8. I will never make that mistake of using IE8 again.

I caught Firefox connecting to paypal (which I have never ever used) and some ad companies while I was browsing the internet - Opera it is for me, it is the most secure browser I have ever seen.
