Thanks Monk! I hope it is soon. :P It may sound silly, but it was hearing that announcement that made me buy E:TW. I have been looking forward to that for sooooo long! I spent countless hours doing Hotseats with my friends and bros, but this promises to be much funner!

Perhaps you remember the Letters from Brandywine collab that we did after the ETW demo hit? TinCow and I had planned to do an entire MP campaign, writing up battle accounts and providing points of view from various sides of the same war.

It's been a long time, however, I don't think anyone expected the MP campaign beta to take this long. I know I didn't.

I didn't think it would take this long either. I have barely played E:TW at all yet, as I have still been waiting for campaign MP. :P

it was originally going to be released a week or 2 after the release of ETW but with the amount of problems with the game itself post release it was pushed back. one of the CA guys said, they did not want to release the MP campaign until they were mostly done with patching that way no one would be cranky about AI stuff or something with the game or until they were happy with the state of the game. They also said it wouldn't be released until just before the release of NTW, I wouldn't expect it any earlier than 2010, I don't expect it any earlier than that, it would be a bonus, so thats it! just have to wait till the end of the year.

It could come at any time but I think we are getting closer to MP Campaign release now that CA is done with major patches.

Has anyone ever thought about doing some sort of massive multiplayer game with about 5 teams of players? That would be pretty cool but a huge commitment. It would take the AI factor out of the game so we can see the full potential of ETW.
