GIMP compared to Paint is like a fully automatic wood harvester machine compared to an axe. But if you just want to cut the low end of your christmas tree a bit so that it matches better with that thing in which it belongs, you choose the axe. You don't put your tree into that harvester machine for an action as simple as that.

That got longer and more complicated as I had planned.
