Did you switched from 1.1 to 1.2? This is not compatible, there were too many changes.
The script fix is not related to the traits, what is your problem. Did you change any part of your installation, or it is even a new installation?

@Ludens:
Could you move this into the technical subforum? Thx!

If you used a save from 1.1 in a 1.2 game and saved that you will recieve bugs even if you switch back.
If you however posses a "unused" slot you could savely go back to 1.1

i started that campaign using teh 1.2 version.... then i think the problem was at the moment of isntalling the 1.1 fixes, riigth?
anyways, i got a save from 2 days ago... i think ill just go over ther...
btw any recommendation before i load that game?
i reallly dnt want to ruin my game or my game exp just because all my family's members got "killed by sabeans"
(WTF THAT MEANS REALLY???
Definitively! This totally messes everything up that was changed in version 1.2
Make a copy in a different folder, install EB new according to this guide, insert your savegame. However, if the game is bugged from beginning, your game is lost, and you should with a clean, new EB installation.
IIRC this means, their father was killed by the Sabeans, but is a clear sign of messed-up trait files

thx a lot XSamatan!! it looks like the game has been recovered from that ugly mess that the traits were... In fact i just took the save game since the last time i played (229 bc) so no achievement was lost!
all traits have returned to normal (even the name of publius aurelius cotta)
the only thing that remained is this:
so... is he really dead??
