Music and logos!

Three questions and a suggestion: first, is the EB2 release having new music?, second, if it does... will it keep the EB1 music? third, wouldn't the EB2 have a different logo, IMHO all sequels have a small distinction to differentiate from the original, suggestion: I propose (IMVHO) that it should be the shiend but with 2 greco-roman columns in the middle of it...

Again... i say this in the most humblest of opinions... please dont kill me

But on point 3.

The Graeco-Roman pillars would be completely wrong! The essence of Europa Barbarorum is presenting the cultures of this piece of history (272BC-14AD) equally. So even some pillars in the logo would suggest a Graeco/Romano centric mod.

The title however does suggest a Celtic/Germano/Getai/Iberian centric mod, This is as a counterweigth to the portrayal of "barbarians" in RTW as half mad savages. And IIRC, EB started out only to make the "barbarians" more realistic. But there was so much more to improve, Ptolemaic Egypt portrayed like they were going to the battle of Kadesh, three extremely expansionist Roman houses which posessed their own share of the republic and a Parthian Empire quite ahead of history.

first...wth is IIRC???????? second... i hated that stupid idea of the 3 house and the senate... it will haut CA forever like spore did to maxis, third... isn't it boring to always post and leave ~Fluvius at the end? what if you forget to do it, do you get mad? or just leave it that way? i would get horribly mad!

Well since I did not knew 1 and 2, I did not bother to answer them. Surely a EB team member can answer your point 1 and 2. This is their home base and I do not know who they are.

3. What makes you think that we haven't created a new logo? Perhaps you should check some of the previews and take a look.

i have... i may have not noticed it but i have seen the EB2 preview vids on youtube and that's when the idea came to mind since you use the original EB logo, besides from that, i hope it all works well for EB2, glad to be talking to the EBBII mod leader, great previews and videos (for EB1 and 2)

In the youtube previews for EBII we use the new EBII logo, not the old EBI logo. No EBII release material has been shown using the EBI logo.

Pause the vid during the intro Jiri. Those two ruts in the background are similar to ruts you find in the ground. These two represent the Latin numerical system representation of two (i.e. "II" without quotes).

Yes, and the colouring is completely different for the lettering, background and metal rim.

Well since it's all resolved now, i hope there will be EB videos about the assasins and spies on M2TW, and some music made in secret from all of us, well time to close the thread! please oh so kind admins
