On the value of masons. Anyone underestimating them has never been in the situation, as mafia, where you think you have the game in hand, you're down to the final however-many players with good numbers, a dead detective, and plenty of potential mis-lynches to go after, and then all of a sudden your top two fake "suspects" claim Mason. Masons are the death of mafia in the end game.

Actually, I've been mason before and not had my partners claim under pressure. I've in fact seen games where masons blurted it out early and promptly died thereafter. Mason claims are useful later in the game. Their effectiveness drops if you claim too early IMO.

I agree with atpg when I was mason it was rare for me to come out and say that I was a mason to save my fellow mason because that would ruin the point of the mason what we are to do is defend my fellow mason but never come out and say what I am.

I believe his tactic is scummy, not necessarily that he's scum. Stupid question regarding Chaotix, as I voted ACIN (or AVSM) in the Star Wars game because he was going after high post count.

Masons, I think, are better in the end-game assuming they survive. OTOH, claiming mason early in a game does seem a bit like "cover" for some other role. Unfortunately, it's hard to judge whether that role is town, mafia, or neutral. I recall pever's "neutrals" had some real impact in version one.

Joke detective claims are less useful than faked detective claims -- and possibly more annoying.

I just woke up and I am not noted for being awake at the present time of day. Could there possibly be a tally so I know what's going on.

The second day drew to a close. There was less calm, as a number of people were found dead in the morning.

They selected Chaotix to be imprisoned, but Chaotix's head just shook.

"Oh no, you can't do that to poor little old me, you'll just have to off me instead. Terribly sorry, I could have insisted you throw me in the Tower, but the people have decided, and I cannot refuse the people! Just make sure someone feeds my dogs."

And with that Chaotix was helped away, and never seen again.

The Frenchman appeared in the Reenk write-up. Reenk was abducted, he didn't die. Whatever role did that, it's an unusual one and we need to be very wary of it, but the fact that Reenk isn't technically dead doesn't strike me as a SK. Could be some kind of scum-recruiter, or could be some kind of long-term roleblock. Impossible to tell at this point.
