    Default AAR

Ok basically all i want is a few tips into making a nice AAR. I ahve a few questions to those experienced people out thier.

    1) What does AAR stand for?
    2) Whats the best way to write an AAR, 3rd person? or 1st person?
    3) How the hell do u take screen shots, so u dont have to cntrl alt and delete and save each 1 seperately in paint, because so far its took me 4 hours to to documentate my troubles in greece which only lasted 6 turns :s

Any other tips would be nice too

I want this AAR to rival the best :)

    1. After Action Report, I think
    2. It's up to you really. They each have their advantages.
    3. I use FRAPS. It's free and it doesn't require you to constantly exit the program to paste.

All I have to say is, use a lot of pictures. I know some people don't mind big walls of text and they find it interesting, and I do too if it's well done, but I think pictures are nice to break up the text after a few paragraphs.

I prefere to save time an let some 1 else do the reaearch when iv already got loads on my hands :P

Also when making an AAR and when you want to place pictures of the army stacks on the map is their an easier way than taking ss's and manualley dragging them into other pictures. Is their an icon to press in game to get all stacks up rather than having to individualley click on them and drag them all into 1 picture?

That might be quite a while... If you don't plan on making it too long, you could probably finish an EB1 AAR by the time EB2 comes out I'm guessing

Yes but i want my AAR to be quite illistrative and well written with lots of information on the historic accounts of what was happening at that time. For the amount of work involved and the quality i want i may as well wait for the better quality game. Theirs still things i can do. I want to make a nice donation soon aswell, just its been a 5 week month and im really skint :(

if i had to guess than EB1 in its current state will be much better than the first version of EB2.

thats up to you, not up to the game.
the game offers all that, but its up to you if you want to include it.

    about AARs:
i suggest you read some AARs to understand the range of types. you have some which are mostly text, some which is mostly pictures, and some which have a balance.
