I'm going to say it's just youOne thing I noticed, and I may be imagining it, but I notice that people (women esp) are most uncomfortable (and even sometimes afraid) around conservative looking white and Hispanic guys with big frames. They seem to be perfectly comfortable around black and Asian guys, but for some reason I think people think that they think they have something to fear from conservative looking Hispanic and white guys. I mean, there can be a guy with a million piercings and a spiked leather collar and a fishnet shirt walking by who looks like he is high, and it will not bother them, but they will be a little nervous and look behind them if there is a conservative looking (ie, button down shirt, or flannel, short hair, etc) guy behind them (esp if he has a large frame).
I don't know, is that just my experience on or around campus, or is there really something to it?
There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford
My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.
I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.
