Those videos that emerged are incredibly disturbing. What on earth were they thinking? I'm surpirsed not more people died.

I think the woman was just trying to take advantage of you and the tragedy. Frauds know no shame. Call me a cynic, but I've lived in cities for too long, heard too many stories by people who all happen to be a victim of whatever the latest high profile tragedy is. Sadly, they undermine solidarity and the natural tendency of good people to help each other out. They prey on it, what to you is a an act of humanity, is to these people a sign of your stupidity, and if you are stupid, you can be taken advantage of because it's your own fault, so they feel perfectly entitled to, without the least bit of shame. They are dishonest to such an extent they are genuinely insulted when you don't believe them.
And what's with her nonsense about physically threatening you, and asking for you to trust her but her not willing to trust you? Pft.
