    Congrats to Team Star Wolf and Town, very well played at the endgame.

    We did our best, but things started to spiral out of control after the Frozen in Ice kill mistake.

    I couldn't agree more; the town was right in wanting to lynch us... they just needed to deal with Andross first.
    That was all it was, cautionary for the future, discrediting Beskar somewhat. If you noticed some of the more subtle posts in the QT, it was basically stating that we should vig you in anticipation for the future conflict.

    Could have gone very badly, but we hit Diana, who I wasn't strong enough to take down, then Skooma, which was a massive boon for the town.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Comments on the Game:
    Thank you very much Pizza for this wild and exhilarating roller-coaster ride from start to finish. It wasn't easy taking over a StarFox team where both original members were inactive from the start. Things started getting interesting when practically every of our recruits/recruitables were revealed in thread.
    The Beefy incident was an interesting experience, apologies for lynching you Beefy, but this was the situation
    You claimed Rob
    We investigated and protected you
    Blocked kill was not shown
    Thought you were guilty
    Falco died as a result of all these actions that would have otherwise helped his survival
    So well.. we lynched you
    Also, @Mafia team, I'm wondering how my plan worked?
    After my whole team died, I decided to take a more active stance.
    Main Goals:
    Discredit Beskar to prevent possible capitalization on this fact once Androssian team is dead (If soon)
    Direct attention to possibility of Beskar being scum after all those naughty things like bringing attention to me and Choxorn.
    If suspected of being Peppy, hope that a few rounds of being active would give rise to an aura of confidence and "protect myself" through jedi mind tricks for a few rounds
    Get the game rolling and avoid getting lynched as a suspect (because I'm a replacement? Darn).
    Anyway, it was extremely gratifying to be a part of this town victory and contribute to it. It was also very satisfying to vig Skooma to tip the odds back in our favor
    And now, some gems from the Androssian QT that I found quite funny (Not to mock you guys )
    I swear to god, if the town loses this game due to UPPERCASE P, then I officially declare myself psychic for posting the "pevergreen rant"
    I guess the difference between uppercase and lowercase P is more important than I realized. Holy crap this is hilarious.
    I am glad to have served Andross in the way that I did... I know my role was crucial in getting us here and I am satisfied with that.
    Now I just have to wait for the rest of Star Wolf to be killed off before I can make my childishly triumphant victory post in their quicktopic.
    Then will my REVENGE be COMPLETE.
    Good game guys , but maybe you were counting your chickens before they hatched
    I think Peppy might even be more inclined to protect Gen. Pepper than to attack someone- I'm certain there's gotta be something about that in his victory conditions.
    If that's the case, we may get off without him vig-killing anyone.
    Oh BTW I confirm those orders Pinman or whoever sent and forwarded to me. In the future, I will always accept such orders lol.
    Only here because instead of doing that I ended up vigging Diana/Skooma.
    Since Beskar isn't dangerous, it was Landlubber or DIY, and we can't be positive DIY isn't protected somehow.
    Looks like we were right as to why no Star wolf member was attacked for the better part of the game eh Beskar?
    DiY is probably a power role, would be nice to get rid of him while we don't do multiple kill, because if he's peppy, he might be protecting himself.
    Whew, in fact, I had no means of protecting myself except reverse psychology :P
    Last but not least [In fact quite the contrary]!!
    Ok, scan Autolycus, kill Frozen in Ice is my suggestion. Might as well kill him through protection while we're at it. No reason not to. Beskar has decided to investigate nightbringer.
    Well done mafia team, you guys played a fantastic game
    If not for last ditch efforts that successfully nailed you guys, you would have cruised to the finish line
    My sympathies though, if you killed someone else instead of Frozen in Ice, you guys might have won, but I hope you guys aren't kicking yourself over that one, because nevertheless, you guys gave it your all, even when the town vote was near unanimous against you in the final rounds.
    Bravo
    And most importantly of them all:
    Thank you very much to ATPG for hosting this game, should circumstances force you to take a hiatus from mafia and the .org, then be proud that this game was your final one, and that you went with a bang
    Oh, I just wanted to say major props to DiY -- if you not killed Skooma, things would have been very different. Nice shooting. :)
    We were going to kill Beefy the next night. With the reviver exposed, I thought that Romanic would be an easier target and I think that by the next night, we could kill through protection.
    Heh. I was kinda baiting auto, not you guys. His posting style was consistent throughout the game, and some pressure to see if he slipped up was necessary. Then when khaz came and posted that round it was a no-brainer, his post had the same style as chaotix's the round before, obviously I was barking up the wrong tree.
    After Beskar giving false targets in the Star Wolf QT earlier, and then ending up with Civplayah and me dying, I was leery of any hope. These last few rounds were pretty brutal on us. (Though we deserved it )
    I think even though we were the most disadvantaged team in this game, Team Star Wolf pulled off a feat akin to walking on Water to deny the Mafia any victory. Poor Chaotix, he didn't get his revenge afterall.
    Great game ATPG, and everyone else! I can't imagine a better way to start playing mafia games. I managed to come onto the mafia team right at the beginning of everything going wrong. I hope I didn't come off winey towards the end about getting targeted but i was just doing anything I could to try to deflect votes, even if it was only by making people feel guilty.
    Thanks for letting me go all the way to the end guys! I look forward to playing another game with you all.
    And i really was convinced you were mafia before i got converted auto.
    We win!
    A big thank you to ATPG for this fantastic game, that had me going even after I died.
    ***
    Thanks to my teammates, Choxorn, DiY, Double A and JHT. It was a pleasure working with you guys. Team Star Wolf may say otherwise but we know that we saved the game when we killed Skooma on Night 11
    ***
    Congrats to all the blues with whom we won and a special congrats to our three survivors Auto, Psycho and WEW (and khaan) who made the crucial votes in the last 2 turns.
    ***
    Good game Team Star Wolf, our enemies. I am so glad that you are all dead. It's a strange result that we share the victory with you, even if you would have turned against us. In the end we needed you to win, so thank you for that.
    ***
    And good game Andross, you almost had us. I feel we we're lucky somehow.
    Thanks to everyone, it was a pleasure playing with you!
    ***
    And a special note to Beskar, who's kept reminding me (and is still doing it) how Star Wolf was better, and how wrong I was, when I was:
    Yeah, aren't you glad your attack on me didn't work, huh!
    (the night that we got Andross, I kept things off the QT. It was just CDF and myself left. We made plans via PM, so civplayah wouldn't have that info).
    I believed this myself too, but Beskar informed me that members of the same team were allowed to speak via PM if they wished; had I known this sooner, I'd have stopped posting in the QT altogether weeks ago, though it may not have stopped Beskie. :3
    To me, contacting in-person, over the phone, by IM, PM, email, snail mail or Quicktopic is all the same.... off-thread communication.
    What was illegal was private reveals, revealing new info after death, and later on, people who did not have access to those quicktopics could not privately communicate with each other. Which meant that yes, you could PM your own team members or post on known quicktopics. Unfortunately as a game host sometimes I don't spell things out as precisely as I could.
    There is more commentary to come. I want to reveal my thoughts about certain posts, strategies, and give some commendations and razzie awards.
    That was awesome. We rocked Cornerians!~
    And you did OK too, team Star Wolf.
    I'm considering this a great victory for myself. I actually survived the game, when it looked like I was going to get lynched a couple times. Plus I got 10 points, and most importantly, the town won. This may not ever happen to me again in a mafia game, so I'm gonna enjoy it.
    Might I ask why out of thread communication was forbidden to anyone not explicitly given on "team fox/wolf/andross"? I ask because I feel like.. how to say. It felt very frustrating early/mid game and I pretty much took it out on Beskar. It felt like "well, sorry if you didn't get a good role, you get to follow what what your boss says because he know better than you," for a while, and then it all kinda came apart by the end, but that was more because everyone was dead.
    It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then, the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.
    I'd prefer to speak for myself on these matters, Beskar.
    Rulebreak: Player reveals privately to another Player, which was explicit. He reveals publicly minutes before I WOG him, sparing his life. Close call!
    • Strong warning was given to all
    Rulebreak: Player hints a bit too strongly that player is a power role in private, though it is very clear from the context that this player was just trying to get another player to look at her posts.
    • Private communications are banned entirely. It is only because this player attempted to play by the rules and it is clear that it was an honest mistake, not a clear rulebreak, that she wasn't WOG'ed as well. Which would have made me feel like poop, btw, but I would have had to. Final warning was given: any further rulebreaks would result in immediate WOG and/or ban.
    Rulebreak: further private communications take place, and I catch wind of it. Those responsible are removed from the game and warned to cease and desist.
    • It is because of multiple rulebreaks that everyone got their private message privileges taken away. The balance of this game is affected by private reveals, it creates a larger pro-town network which sucks away all the mystery and challenge of the game.
    As for the helplessness of the town, and having to follow instructions from the pro-town roles: As you saw, sometimes they have no idea what they are talking about, and it's entirely possible that know-nothing townies can pick a suspect and try to get a wagon rolling on that person. You can also pressure vote with other people claiming to be basic townies. You can also falsely claim something so you get murdered, which spares pro-town roles. There are a lot of strategies you can employ... and since the pro-town or power roles were also mostly clueless all game long, no need to feel too bad.
    You're not obligated to listen to any power role. And, vote pattern analysis might help determine your innocence if you accidentally wagon a mafia scumbag early on in a round, because that tends to indicate that you actually want someone dead, rather than a first vote or a late late vote. Being independent allows analysis to take place, whereas constant bandwagons give you nothing to analyze.
    I hope that everyone playing TAS takes stock of this; you're ruining the game for yourselves by breaking the rules too. :P
