AggonyDuck joined us today for a rousing 2v2 battle . He and Shambles attacked Trish and I on Totomi with a vengeance. Our samurai fought valiantly, but in the end, the attackers prevailed. What fun to play 2v2 again after so long .

Hi Akula. Yeah, having multiple servers causes a bit of confusion and missed opportunities.

If I remember correctly, we are in the same time zone. If you'd like to get a feel for Shogun MP and are running WE/MI 1.02, or 1.03-1.05, I have been up for games lately. The mild frustration is beginning to set in again as there aren't usually any players around when I'm free and on the servers, so I don't know how long my interest will last, But for now, I'm interested.

If you want some games, feel free to PM me here, post in this thread, or send me an e-mail at funkymonk002@hotmail.com. That addy is also my gaming MSN Messenger account, so you can often find me on MSN Messenger. I sometimes hang out in the game foyer, under a variety of names. If you message me in there and I don't respond, I'm most likely AFK, or in another window surfing or working. if I'm logged in to a server, I'm usually checking every few minutes to see if anyone has happened by.

I can do MP at 6:00-9:00 am GMT or sometimes I can do it at 3:00-4:00 pm GMT. I think that's 10:00pm-1:00am Pacific time and 7:00-8:00am Pacific time.

Well I finally got bored enough to download and install the 2.01 patch for MTW:VI and tried my first MP games on VI tonight. Sure feels different, and not knowing the general valor levels that work at various florin amounts puts me at a serious disadvantage. Still, it was interesting.

I'm glad that my ancient computer and turtle connection can handle it. I played a 2v2 and a 1v1 and both games were fine. Don't know about 3v3s and 4v4s though. I'll have to give it a go and see.

Played some more. Had good games with Gobby (GothicGoblin). Managed a decent 3v3 when everyone shut off other programs etc. Nice to know I can play them, considering how slow my connection and PC are.

Now to learn the appropriate units for all the factions, and honor levels given flrin levels, etc. ... . Anyway, this is the Sword Dojo so--STW talk here.

7Bear7 was founded playing STW. I imagine once the group knows that the Fakeserver setup is working, your going to see a number of us.

7Bear7Kuma has already asked me for the detail of how to get setup.

I've had a talk with Toga a little while ago, he told me that there were still a few clans playing STW. I started that talk because I'd maybe like to join a clan.

Let's not act too fast, drisos, but, does 7Bear7 recruit new members(at the moment)?

There are a few clans with players who occasionally play STW:MI Drisos, but I wouldn't say that any clans are "active" with stw anymore.

Had games with 7bears Kuma, Ghost and Clips yesterday on MTW:VI. All were fun games. Ghost brought a weird, mostly inf Turk army that just shot my Mongols to pieces--and still withstood my hcav charge! I looked at the log file and then used that same army to good effect in several subsequent games. Looking at it you wouldn't think it would be very effective, but it is in many situations.

Had games with Bottom, Biker and former Bear Yogi on STW:MI before. All good players. Yogi was one of few that could win often using an all cav army.

They are a good clan, Drisos. Also consider Aggony. Several of their members trained me when I was new, even though I hadn't joined their clan. I thought this was an exceptionally nice thing for them to do, as most clans will only train their members to any degree of detail. I think both clans would like you to be active in MTW and MTW-VI (the Viking Invasion expansion for MTW), so you may want to consider getting and learning mp on them too. Both clans have members who still play it often, and there are many more people on the server than on the stw fakeserver (unfortunately). I've been learning vi mp and it's been fun so far. I suck, but it's still fun.

No worries m8, I'm not trippin' about it. You want rude? Come spend a few minutes in the VI foyer, lol. Quite some silly characters in there. Thank the makers for the #ignore function! Love the games though, and been making a lot of new friends. Got a lot to learn about VI though ... .

If anyone is wanting Shoggie games just post when you're gonna be on or PM me and I'll see what I can do to meet you. Otherwise, I'll be spending time getting my VI skills up to speed.

It's great you've joined, I've just played MP for the first time today and it's great. I'm newbie too, so we could settle some battles soon? please. . .I'm dying to play MP again . . .and we would be a good match, I think.

Tech stuff: DO you have version 1.02? most people use it and to play against them, you must have it too. If not: go to www.totalwar.com and click downloads. then scroll down and download v 1.02

Look back into this thread, Tosainu, who hosts a server, posted a link in this thread. Click the link, and then click configure for WE MP. After that, run WE and click MP. In MP, don't register but click play via EA. Enter a nick, (no password) and your CD-number. (which is at the back of the game manual)

please post again here if you want some battles with me, we'll see when it can be done.
