Diplomacy is happening right now, I had to settle a crysis with jerusalem, that could of been a new war with me, but how things are going, it looks like he's presuaded me to give him one chance to follow his words. hope he does. it will be soon, + finals.

Hi there. I was interesting in joining this PBM. I read on Page 8 that the Ghorid's are free and are the only relatively decent sized nation left. If this is still the case and they are still the AI then would it be possible for me to join? I have expieriance with PBM's but not with BC, so it will be quite challenging for me. Anyway, seems like a fun game.

I hate to be a turn-nazi and all, but since I haven't heard anything back from him, I'll go ahead and skip Ramses's turn. I'm going to skip because he said he wanted to begin his invasion of the Turks and I don't want to interfere with any war plans he has. :sweatdrop:

I'm not totally skipping. I just don't want to interfere with his war plans. But, having just gone in the game, I think I see his basic strategy... I hope...
I'll go ahead and attack and hope I don't fudge anything Ramses has going on. Just a lesson for everyone to make sure and, if you are going to miss your turn, prepare a sub with instructions. Since I'm a fairly neutral player to all, I'll be happy to sub whenever. Just plan ahead. :2thumbsup:

Ok. I didn't attack with either Rome or Armenia due to certain unforeseen... occurrences nearby. I'll leave that up for them to decide what to do with next. I did, however, entrench their armies inside Turkish lands and now it's up to the Crusader States!

Anyways, the problem is that I told DrFitzgerald that the Ghaznavids had no enemies, which is why he switched from the Ghorids to the Ghaznavids. However, apparently the Khwarezm Shah has declared war on them, too. So, since I gave bad information I wanted to give him the chance to reconsider. But since I haven't heard anything back from Triforce or him today, I'll just upload the turn, set both Ghaznavids and Ghorids as playable, and let DrFitzgerald decide which faction he wants to play as.

I think I will switch to the Ghorids. I would rather be in that position than the one the Ghaznavids are in now. Plus they were once managed by a real player so that has to give a slight advantage. I will obviously start once TriforceV hands over the save, unless Quirl wants to set the Ghaznavids back the AI?

Ha! Go to "UserCP" at the top left of this page. Then click "Edit Signature." Then with the "Insert Image" add the URL of the banner (you can get the URL by right clicking the image and (with Explorer) clicking "properties" and copying the URL from there. Or, if you have Firefox, you can just right click and hit "copy image location." :beam:
If figured you knew most of that, I just like to be overly descriptive. :P

Turn 8. You're very late specificating a rule. I can admit I did a few, just due to others doing it before me, I thought it was perfectly legit, and did it not to fall behind. as well, I may be the only one who will admit this even though I perfectly know that others have been doing the same thing. (I do it to just AI, and I did not destroy the abbasid player by using this, or strangely I did not kill the Georgian empire with this, As they stuck their family all out in the cold and for me to kill them in packs.. XD)
any ways, It's not the fact that you are thinking, it, personally i think it's a good way, but the process is how I think will be unfair. Since the only way is to delete EVERY one's passwords, for each turn, go through what they did, for every turn. and basically know for a fact what every player has done since turn 1, which is just a tad bit unfair concluding that you are a well sized faction in this as well.
Also, It's abit unfair for you to ask of now, As it is, You could of easily fixed this problem on turn two and leading on, when the evidence of graphs settlement showed up on turn 1 that spies opened up gates of 1st turn settlements. but waiting for so long, I can see it hardly being fair now, =/
I respected the rule even if it meant my Rajputs are now in a huge deficit so I don't understand why others cheated.:thumbsdown:

The rule was clear from the beginning and I respected it.
Merlox, the only thing that isn't fair is that you deliberately cheated. Quirl is within his rights to call you on it whenever it comes to light. Just because he didn't pick it up earlier does not make it ok.
He is not the police, he's just trying to run a fun game.

I asked you specifically regarding this rule Merlox, before I even joined, asking you if the spies not allowed to open gates applied to only human or the AI. As it was a condition for me considering to join, You assured me that spies were allowed to open AI lands.
But it's not entirely your fault, I should have confirmed this with the host...
However, On a brighter note, while I did attempt to open gates to many settlements, I failed at most (blessing in disguise), considering I was very unlucky, thought I do admit I did open a small amount 1 or 2 MAX,
I'm willing to take a penalty the Host sees fit, considering that everyone else who uses spies are punished in accordance to the damage they have done, and not punished equally, (as im sure Merlox is working those spies, as there is no way else to explain his dramatic land gain).
I'll be proud to allow the Host to confirm what I opened using a spy, and allow him to freely inquire into the turns itself, as I have very little to hide. :2thumbsup:
I thought it was perfectly fine but i guess i just mis-understood the rules. Though, i'm just saying, if it was illigal, why didn't the host catch it on turn 2 on graphs? and the later turns where i did it right in front of him., but why at turn 8? =/ any ways.

Like triforce said, I misunderstood rules, because I told people from the TWcenter that it was ok, and that is my bad for mis-understood, but if the host caught us on turn 2, what not, when he saw 2-3 factions gaining that 1st settlement. on the 1st turn, and since I've been thinking it's been fine the whole way through with just AI. Even when I just took Katusi right in front of the host with spies, and him just being perfectly ok with it. =/
any ways, i did take my share of settlements. possibly 8 or 9 with spies, give or take. I can tell the hosts which ones I've done.
EDIT: Spy check list for this campaign, to clear any possible questions when host sees the turns and has questions mainly with Turns 4 and 5.
Seljuks Start off with 7 Settlements,
Turn 1: Tabriz with spy. Ganja and Shama are besieged. (Now with 8 settlements.)
Turn 2: Nothing. (10 settlements due to besieged.)
Turn 3: Kirkut and Telavi besieged (No settlement ups)
Turn 4: Yerevan with spy (Capital of georgia taken by killing the army right outside of lower left of castle.) Baghdad besieged (14 settlements now)
Turn 5: Dvin with spy (Castle right of baghdad falls due to Reforcement trick, having 1 full army stand at seige while 1 horse unit sieges the other part, The AI fights the 1 unit of horse and loses to the army stack.)
Smarata is besieged. (17 settlements now)
Turn 6: Hillah and Katusi with spy. Anbhar and Basari besieged, (20 settlements now_
Turn 7: Ani and Avhaz with spies. Mosul occupied due to abandoned. (25 now)
Checked at end of turn 7, I had 25 settlements, so this is pretty accurate.
That's my progress log, you can check the turns, they will be exactly like that. and again, i'm sorry, simple mis-understanding.
Will Dr. Fitzgerlad take his turn sooner ... ?

Sorry about the wait. I'm figuring out the intricacies of keeping two BC installs (for each hotseat) right now. If I can't figure it out in a few hours I'll uninstall the old version, install the new to get the turn done, then do the opposite to play my turn in the other game...

Almost there. I have everything downloaded, and can play BC 2.02 single player, but when I try to load the ERE turn it brings me back to the menu....
I have MTW up to patch 1.5 (Kingdoms with all patches). Only other mods are LTC and SS, neither of which messes with vanilla files.
This turn will be up later tonight...
Minor update. I have the exact same problem with BC1.05 right now. I can start a game, but not load the hotseat turn...
Since I kept the installers for both versions I'm going to uninstall both, reinstall 2.02 just to see if I can play the turn then.
I tried i, still can't load a hotseat turn even though I can play the game singleplayer. I also tried a save from earlier in the game with no luck.
Got it. Oddly, this wasn't a problem on my old computer for some reason. Playing the save now.

So it's working now? Excellent! Glad you were able to find those threads. Too bad we didn't find them earlier. Cultured Drizzt Fan was having the same problem and those threads might have been able to help him, too. Oh well. At least yours is good now. :2thumbsup:
It had something to do with my having the Gold edition of MTW2. It was incoorectly displaying my vanilla MTW2 version as 1.2. Apparently it affects MP battles and hotseats.
If that was Drizzt's problem maybe he can come back as soon as another faction needs a player. :yes:

No problem man. If Lemon hasn't played his turn yet, you might still be able to post your turn and send it to him. But you'd have to do it quickly. I was hesitant to skip you since you're in a war and all. If you don't have the time though, there is always next turn. :D

1) Who took Delhi and why haven't we heard of this great conquest in the council chambers yet?! :D
and, more importantly...
2) So, I was going over my old save game and I just wanted to ask you guys: Do you want to just get rid of those large rebel armies randomly perched outside of settlements? I only ask 'cos they don't really do anything. Everyone just goes around them, captures their cities while their backs are turned, and then they just sit in your lands for the rest of the game. I personally use them for target practice with my assassins (there's some use you can get out of them at least). But even then, I just find them annoying. So, I just wanted to ask you guys' opinions. Sorry I didn't think of this at the beginning of the game, but I really hadn't even thought about it then. Thoughts?

Autoresolve helps
I'm really liking autoresolve. It has it's little oddities (fighting the Turks as Rome, I was getting some strange outcomes), but overall it speeds up the game, limits the need for fort spamming, and it gets rid of those insanely illogical battle outcomes where one general's bodyguard kills 2,000 soldiers. :P
