    the following fact:

    If Sprig is scumbag
    He allows himself to be
    killed randomly, right?

    Why would he do this?
    Would anyone please use their
    logic and EXPLAIN?
    I am not convinced
    that this makes Sprig innocent.
    Yes, risky it is

    indeed, but on the
other hand I at least would
    have called for his head

    the next day if he
had broken the tie in his
    favour and killed a

    townie this way. Would
not you have, too? You not con-
    sidering this was

    part of my suspi-
cion about you and Sprig in
    cohort together.

    This makes no sense friend.
    I didn't bother to help
    Sprig during the tie.

    I could have spared him.
Last round, he didn't need help.
    Why would I defend?

    Instead I focused
    on trying to lynch someone
    and explain my case.

    You are not thinking.
    the "connection" between us:
    Imaginary.

    A very poor case.
    Whatever, doesn't matter.
    Pizza: demonized.

    Scumbags get their wish
    Not gonna bother next round
    defense is ignored.

    Night 3 is over!

    The cunning purist
    smiles devilishly and grim
    moving through the night

    He has set his eyes
on the prize of the poet school:
    A girl; The beauty.

    Renata is dead,
look at the poor girl, blooded,
    broken and murdered.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    Renata was the pro-town beauty!

    It is now day 4!
Due to the death of Renata, nobody will be lynched today as the day is spent in mourning!

The five remaining students stood, depressed and mourning around the body of the beautiful Renata, the only girl to ever attend the haiku academy. None could remove their eyes from the still image of the beauty; It was as if the spark of life sparkled just beneath her skin, but it was cold and stiff to the touch, and the wound on her neck could not be ignored; someone had murdered her in cold blood. The students looked up at each other with dead eyes, and it seemed as if time itselfpassed with no notice. Finally, their apathy was conquered by physical weariness, and they realized that the sun had just set; they had wasted an entire day in lament.

Day 4 has ended! It is now night 4!

    This night, two poets met
    The Purist and the Jealeous
    and joined ways again.

    "AskThePizzaGuy,"
    one sneered. "Finally got you!"
    The knife spoke from then.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    AskThePizzaGuy was a vanilla townie!

    It is now day 5!
The last four students gathered, looking at each other nerveously. The wicked grin that passed between two of them was easily visible. Panicking, ArpeggiateTHIS took a step backwards. "No! This... This is impossible. Why all this blood? Why all this death?"
He felt someone clench his arms behind his back, baring his breast. Forth stepped Sprig; his face was a mask of calculated calm, and his pale fingers clenched a deadly penknife. "None of you deserves it. Look at your amateurish poetry. YOU ARE NOT WORTHY! I had to... I had to kill them, Arpeg. Whenever one of them said a faulty poem, I carefully noticed the offence. And I repaid it in full with this knife, every night, one at a time. And now, you."
Before ArpeggiateTHIS could answer, Sprig violently thrusted the penknife into him time and again, again, again, just below the ribcage. The poor victim, still retained by Sprig's partner, sputtered a low whimper, blood running from his mouth, mixing with spit and froth as his body spasmed and collapsed on the floortiles.
The two murderers turned and looked at the last remaining student, Captain Blackadder. "Now, you," Sprig noticed. The Captain backed nerveously. "No, no... Please say this is just a bad dream! I want to wake up!"
Sprig smiled his devilish smile and threw the penknife to his partner, Joooray. "Get him," he said, turning his back and already on his way to his chamber. The beastlike Joooray quickly overpowered the innocent captain, and Sprig shrugged as he went inside, trying to ignore the noise.

The mafia have won the game!
Congratulations to Sprig (the Purist) and Joooray (the Jealeous)!
And thanks to everyone for playing! Postgame discussion may now begin!

(Am I allowed to break haiku now that I'm dead?)

I knew Sprig had something to hide, and Pizza fell for it! Hah, that was good.
As for Jooray, I can't believe I bought his early-on inactivity story. Sounded so legit.

Great game DE, and I have a (slightly odd) request. If you ever get the chance, could you start up the seven man scrimmage series again? I missed out on the fun last time, and reading them was hilarious (especially the jester game).

EDIT: And why did I have to die such a gruesome death? Stab-happy Sprig.
Arpeggio: A broken chord. Arpeggiate: Breaking up a chord. ArpeggiateTHIS, scumbag.

Congrats to the mafia for a very good game. And sorry to the town -- I was *trying* to lay low ... oh well.

quick indeed. one more round would be preferable. but then again, we didn't have a full team of 17 people to begin with. Is there a quicktopic?

I have got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel

What? The game is over already, and there I was afraid to look at the threat, because I feared to be put under more pressure by pizza.
Yeah, Sprigs move day one was probably what made the game for us, as I said, it was a risky move, but I'm sure he would have been under a lot of pressure if he had broken the tie. I also could have saved Sprig there, because I had the ability to add a vote in private, but felt it wouldn't be a good idea to use it day one and thus putting a lot of attention on Sprig. We definitely took our chances there.
Also we were a bit limited because of having to choose as our kill target someone that made a mistake during the day, but maybe that also helped, because our kill pattern wasn't readable this way (e. g. I'd never kill landlubber night one). Ultimately it maybe won us the game though, as we would have killed pizza last night if we had free choice.
BTW: Here is our quicktopic, in order to impress DE it is also mostly in Haiku.

And the inactivity story was totally legit, although as pizza says, I'm not the most outspoken person anyway and the Haiku thing limited that even more, as it always took me quite a while to actually post.

Finally, thanks a lot for the game DE, I had a blast. I'm sure I'm not the only one that took some time to write the Haiku which may have limited participation quite a bit. But I found it worth it, as it was a real nice variation and break from the normal routine.
