Well, I could have just made up my mind to wager just one credit every day and not discuss this again. I know I simply can't be around right before deadlines to control the lynch that way and I don't even want to bother.
Except I did spend the time to think about ways the town can work this out, so I'll post my proposal. I think we all commit to 5 or so credit bets each day, that way a solid majority vote or wagon can build up enough credits that one guy on any side can't swing it alone. Obviously someone might try to bet 40, 50, 60 or whatever just to save themselves but it wouldn't be enough that just one chaotic gets out of it alone.
Then otherwise, anyone who "folds" just so they don't lose money, rewagers right at the deadline, etc... we collectively punish very harshly. Without us collectively agreeing to this in advance it seems guaranteed to fail, because somebody is just going to want to lynch someone else, get a guy from a rival faction or whatever, and fold and rewager like 50 credits some day before a deadline, which is terrible for the town. There's simply no possible way I can see this working.
If we don't have any collective ideas then I definitely will be wagering only one credit every day, wake me on like day 10 if I'm around, because I personally could not manage to do anything useful otherwise.
Those who can show up right around the deadline - well they can either can just fold and lose only 1 credit total, or get to choose who to lynch. But for the rest of us:
Can't show up right before the deadline, just make 1 credit bets - you don't lose money but your vote is completely worthless
Can't show up right before the deadline, try to actually bet a large amount on someone - probably the very worst option almost every time. Even if you actually thought Bob was guilty and bet like 30 credits on him, that still doesn't really stop Charlie, David, and Fred from showing up right at the deadline and adding up wagers and making their own to get the outcome they want. Except you actually lose 30 credits on a lynch that doesn't even happen.
I also propose that for today, if someone has to be lynched (and they do, right?) that whoever is around before the deadline and actually making the bets that count - maybe you at least make it a tie between two folks and give them a fighting chance to duel, whoever's around right at the deadline getting to outright sentence the first person they want to death is a little offputting.

Fold; Bet 10 on Earthling

Earthling, you're already text-walling on Day One?

It sort of makes sense early (to a certain extent), but as the bet limit increases with each day and as others spend money at night to do things this will become harder and harder. I'd rather just let the betting fall as it may, and then if we see Charlie, David and Fred show up late to swing the vote off of Bob, we can use our credits saved by not mass betting to attempt a vig kill, do a scan, etc on one or multiple of them. I'd in fact argue otherwise that we want small bets early that over time slowly inflate in conjunction with whatever the limit is for the day than to have mass betting all over the place. It just feels like in a sea of money the anti-mafia can hide a bit better and rest a little easier that there's not enough money around for people to do a lot of scanning/vig'ing/etc. Small bets scattered among a number of people will have a higher percentage chance to draw the anti-mafia out than mass betting on one or two people to prevent a third from swinging the vote off of one of them. Sure, someone can swing the vote at the last minute quite easily by only betting in small increments, but you know what? Let them. There's counters to that. It's really the same premise to why mass bandwagoning one person in a mafia game is a terrible idea. Just because I don't agree at all:
Bet: 1 credit on Earthling
...........
Me no think Spy iz spy now.....
Fold; Bet 3 on Earthling

This has nothing to do with anything I said, at all. I'd really expect better than that. You criticize a statement that no one made, while your own suggestion as a solution is what I already explicitly suggested - convince everyone to make small, roughly 5 credit votes and to harshly judge those who deviate or try to swing the vote.
I knew that even bothering to talk about this could draw out scum who disagree with the idea of active, smart voting against the chaotics. Though that said, a chaotic probably wouldn't come out with a hasty, inaccurate post like you did either there.
Though, We'll probably see this in action today regardless of those who would actually cares. Whoever's online before the deadline probably decides today's vote with 10 credits bets or something, and they could even be killing someone on their own faction for no reason.

So far, Earthling is the only person to clearly insinuate that he is mafia (town). But is this accurate or a bluff? Whoever his allies are will have more than enough credits this early to successfully vig block him during the night phase. Vig Killing a likely lynch victim is a waste of resources anyway. The most dangerous thing sabout claims, votes and reading between the lines is that in the early phases people often lynch their own teammates.
Personally, I think we should all vote ourselves into a massive tie and have a giant battle-royale duel, but someone would show up at the last minute and mess it all up by voting one credit.
I still don't know who to vote for

Within the context of betting limits (and in particular, today's ten), 5 is not small. It's half what someone can bet. If this number keeps getting upped as the limit increases, there will be even less money down the road. As I understand things, our income each night is at a fixed number of ten. Look at the gold cost to do certain actions. It ain't cheap, and a result is not guaranteed either. We keep spending more and more during the day, the less we'll have later in the more critical stages. Throwing a ton of money around early is quite wasteful imo. I'm saying we can do more with much less, leaving more money to spend at night to sniff out who's who. Pretty straightforward.

It's a wall o text... on the first day with no serious accusations. Granted, it is about betting and the tactics thereof, but a good as reason as any, I suppose! Certainly better than my vote on choxy.
Fold; Bet one on Earthling
Do note my confidence in the bet.
Yawn
Fold; Bet 3 credits on mythmonster2 for an awful reason to vote the leading lynch.
Also, I had a reason to vote Earthling but I think I'll wait a few rounds before sharing just incase anyone else slips up.

Jolt, Abstaining still causes you to lose 1 credit, so vote 1 for the CPT.
Byzantine Knight has implicitly stated he is pro-chaotic, and he is picking on a new member which is just bad tact:
Bet 1, ByzantineKnight

When did Byzantine state that? (The pro-chaotic part, not the picking on a new member)
And then he changes his vote as I post this, but changes it for another new member who is also new, and probably also friends with the other new guy. But he still said he changed his vote for a chaotic when he discovered chaotic were anti-mafia, which means he is anti-mafia. And he lives in Texas.
