Apparently a lot of Germans want us both to pass, myself included.

The most points Ghana and Portugal can get is 4 (one of them wins their match), which is currently the same number of points the US and ze Germans have. If we draw, we both have 5 points and go through (Germany wins group on goal differential). If Ghana/Portugal draw, we both go through regardless of the outcome of our match since they will both have 2 points. If Ghana wins, the US is in trouble, since we just played a game in the most draining conditions and 1 day less to rest, and chances are Ghana will go through if we lose. If Portugal wins, we probably have them on goal differential. I'm thinking we need at least a draw with Germany to get through, because Ghana is going to beat Portugal.

Mexico through to the next round (go CONCACAF!), while Cameroon is the likely wooden spoon winner unless Honduras gets spanked hard (um, go CONCACAF?).

It was, both of the teams are really fun to watch. Would have liked to see a draw, but I guess the Neds are actually a bit better. Could win the tournament if they don't decide they've won enough one or two games from now as they have historically done quite often.

There is a lot of fresh blood in the selection who have never played in a world cup and are really motivated to get as far as possible. I think we have the best team at the moment, we might actually have a chance of winning this time. Mexico is next that's going to be really hard.

Perhaps France might take over the role as favourite if it keeps playing this way. But I'm rooting for Columbia (After Belgium of course), which is a great team.
I'm sure that Belgium will make it to the next round. What are your thoughts on your next game with South Korea? That team showed that they could score at least.

I have really enjoyed the games I have watched while at dialysis.
I was prepared to be distracted but ultimately bored by matches that devolve into all defence and games of "keep-away"; it has been a pleasant surprise to view matches that go hard for 90+mins!
FIFA may make a believer out of me yet

Suarez is aware that there are lots of cameras at these games, right?

Penalty, indeed! The grass played rather unfairly, I dare say!
